For a balanced perspective on social media:
1. Avoid people who praise only one political party and find fault with all their rivals
2. Follow a mix of people writing on dissimilar political and social ideologies
3. Keep questioning

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi people ❤️
I'm not really sad Dhoni retired. He played a lot, won a lot and got his due even in terms of accolades. Let's talk a little about Suresh Raina.
Raina was talented enough to bat higher up the order, but usually came in at 5 or 6. He was instrumental in getting India to 260 against Pakistan with a quick 30 odd, batting with the tail. Even against Australia, he scored 35 runs at a S/R of 120+ which took the pressure off Yuvraj. These aren't random games from some bilateral series. I'm talking about the quarters and semis of the 2011 World Cup. India was in a precarious situation in both games. Without Raina, we might have had a different world champion. Barely anyone ever acknowledges it.
In the 2015 World Cup against Pakistan, Kohli scored 100 off 120 balls but got out without really accelerating. Raina scored 75 in about 55-60 balls, which got India to 300. No one remembers Raina's contribution.
These are just some of his exploits in batting. He was among India's finest infielders of all time. Just google a compilation of his catches and you'll see. He could even bowl a few tidy overs. Suresh Raina was an impact player.
I feel bad for the guy. He had fitness issues in the last few years, but had started coming good in the domestic circuit and the IPL. If we could play Kedar Jadhav in the team, we could've definitely had Raina, a better player in just about every way. Yet, he wasn't even considered for the 2019 World Cup squad, with completely unheralded players given a chance ahead of him.
I guess he realised he had no future in Indian cricket. With Dhoni announcing his retirement, he had little chance of getting selected. Which is sad because, at 33/34, Raina is only slightly older than Rohit Sharma, so he definitely had at least 2-3 years in him.
So my thoughts go out to the guy who was the first Indian to hit a century in all formats. The guy who was behind some of India's most memorable ODI wins. The guy Jonty Rhodes considers to be one of the best fielders of modern times.
Everyone's sad about Dhoni retiring. Suresh bhai, thanks for your wonderful service to Indian cricket. We probably wouldn't have won the World Cup without your contributions. You deserved better. See you in the IPL.
