Government Polytechnic College, Attingal is one of the major Technical institutions in Trivandrum district situated at valliyakunnu, Attingal. in the year 1994 which came an upgradation of a Technical High School, which had been functioning here since 1964. Located in a rural area on a hillock , the scenic beauty and serenity of the surroundings appears most suited for academic pursuits. The institution stands less than half kilometers from Munnumuku junction, which is only 3 km away from Attingal. Regular bus services on this major route between Attingal and Venjaramoodu and vamanapuram make journey to the College quite an easy thing. At present the institution is in a campus of 3 acres at valliyakunnu , ATTINGAL a main building, students hostels, classrooms for various faculties including Electronics & Computers,IT & Mechanical ,Library, facilities and has the capacity to groom more than 240 students in various engineering fields every year. The institute offers need based continuing education program mes , testing and consultancy services to business and industry besides services to community through Technology transfer.
