Vertical – Celebrate Breast feeding& Cancer Awareness
At Mines board of health we observed the Breast feeding Day and Cancer Awareness by interacting with young mothers regarding the importance of breast feeding & precaution to be safe from Breast Cancer. As a part of nutrition support we distributed 101 bags to lactating mothers which includes napkins, towels, fruits & protein supplements like Horlicks.

Visit Old Age Home Prantik

Description of the Project:-
We in our little way tried to spend some quality time with the members living in Prantik Old Age Home at Dhakeswari on 13th July 2024.
We gave some dry edible items as per their requirement, fresh fruits, vegetables, groceries for home members.Our president also promised to conduct activities like health check up and similar get together in near future.They also insisted us to revisit.

Members of IWC Asansol celebrated 41st Installation Ceremony of Suparna Sur and her team with great zeal and Enthusiasm. We were fortunate enough that we had with us our Chief Guest Mrs. Prabha Raghunandan ( IIW Editor/Media Manager 2023-24) and Guest of Honour and Installating officer PDC Mousumi Chatterjee.Speakers provided information related to the rules and regulations of IWC to all the Innerwheel members which was highly stimulating for guests from neighbouring clubs and us.
Our first club Bulletin was also released
Two New members Kiran jit kheer and Abanti Kumar were inducted by PDC Mousumi Chatterjee.

International Innerwheel Day.
Today on the occasion of International Innerwheel Day, we fulfilled the motto FRIENDSHIP AND SERVICE. After Health Checkup all our members enjoyed 100 years with cake cutting, playing games ,Our President also held quiz on Innerwheel. We all enjoyed sumptuous lunch.It was a wonderful experience. A DAY WELL SPENT ON THE OCCASION OF THE 100TH INTERNATIONAL INNERWHEEL DAY.

To observe & spread awareness on this special day we chose these special children .Eminent Doctor Dr.T.k.Nandi (ENT.) extended his support & with great care & patience treated each & every child .The school authority was extremely happy & satisfied with this gesture.

We had the proud priviledge of honouring Aasha Malviya a 24yr old solo Female Cyclist & Mountaineer pedalling across India .She is a resident of Nataram village of Rajgarh Dist.in Madhya Pradesh.Together with Iwc.Greater we welcomed & honoured her in our own little way.

With the cooperation of our devoted members & members from the medical fraternity we successfully observed this very special day.We began with a ''Health checkup Camp'' in the morning where our members got the basic tests done ( BMI,Blood pressure,fasting blood sugar test,HbAc1).This was followed by an awareness seminar where we had with us eminent general physician,Endocrinologist & Diabetologist, Dr.Sayanti Banerjee as our key note speaker.Guests & members were truely enlightened after this session.Media person was also present .

Observation of ''International Literacy Day''

"EVEN WITHOUT SIGHT THERE IS STILL VISION "

We chose to observe this special day with special children suffering "visual impairment".We were truely fortunate to be able to contribute certain items like Taylor Frame_ 3,Interpoint_ 3,Arithmetic type for maths _ 1kg,stylus_ 7,Braille slate_ 4 ,Braille paper _ two rims & their favourite sweets to support their education .
One of their students gave a demonstration on how these items are used .Children of the school along with their music teacher sang some beauful songs for us.Apart from navigation they are as normal as the rest.With accessible technology or things & will power they can be independent.Their inner power & ability left us all spellbound.
