An Interhouse Science Quiz Competition for Classes VI and VII was held on 20th June 2026 (Saturday) at DAV Model School, KSTP, Asansol. The quiz comprised four engaging rounds-Who Am I?, Science Riddles, VVM-based Questions and Hands-on Activity Questions. Students participated enthusiastically, displaying scientific knowledge, logical thinking and teamwork.

The Inter-House Dance Competition, Meme Making Competition, Info-Graphic Competition, Mobile Photography Competition and Table Tennis Competition were successfully conducted today. The results were declared and certificates were distributed to the winners and participants. Volunteer badges and sashes were distributed among the selected students, marking a proud and memorable occasion for all.

DAV Model School, KSTP, Asansol celebrated Rabindranath Tagore’s birth anniversary through a special celebration titled 'রবির আলোকে রবীন্দ্রজয়ন্তী'(Robir Aloke Rabindra Jayanti).The event commenced with garlanding of the portrait of Gurudev, followed by soulful songs, graceful dance performances and expressive recitations by the students. The celebration paid tribute to the timeless literary and cultural contributions of Rabindranath Tagore.

The Inter-House Storytelling Competition for Classes III-V was held on 18th April, 2026, showcasing the creativity and confidence of our young participants. Devangsh Santra of Class III A (Hansraj House) secured the first position, followed by Aliza Azam of Class III A (Shraddhanand House) in second place. The third position was jointly secured by Shreyansh Roy of Class III B (Dayanand House) and Anwesha Maji of Class IV B (Aurobindo House). Congratulations to all the winners and participants for their commendable performances.

The Investiture Ceremony of the school marked a moment of pride and responsibility as the newly elected student council members were formally entrusted with their duties. The ceremony witnessed the appointment of Waqas Hussain as the School President, MD Ashraf Ali as the School Captain, and Surbhi Singh as the School Vice Captain. The Sports Department will be led by Debopriyo Roy as Sports Captain, supported by Hrishabh Raj as Sports Vice Captain.In the Cultural domain, Anshu Kurrey has been appointed as Cultural Captain, with Akshat Kumar Burnwal as Cultural Vice Captain. The Academic responsibilities will be handled by Devanshu Swami as Academic Captain and Sheikh Faizan Hamza as Academic Vice Captain.The Oratory Club will be headed by Abhinav Mukherjee as President, with Lav Singh serving as Joint Secretary I and Aarohi Roy Choudhury as Joint Secretary II.The ceremony instilled a sense of leadership, commitment, and teamwork among the students, encouraging them to uphold the values and ethos of the institution with dedication and integrity.
