Commemoration ceremony for Our Ramalingam sir held in the presence of honorable CPO/ICF Mr Mohan Raja sir, RTD Principal Mr Aditavaranesvaran sir, RTD principal Mr T. Sivakumar sir, teachers and alumni of Railway school Arakkonam, Perumbur, Palakad and Madurai.

Maths Legend Ramalingam Sir passed away today morning. His body is at Arakkonam housing board area for final rites as per his wish and will take place at 5 - 5.30 pm.

May his soul rest in peace.

My Dear Friends,
Based on the demand from parents for admitting their children, our Railway Mixed High School at Arakkonam will continue to impart valuable education for the years to come.

Admission is available from I to X Standard for wards/childrens of both Railway and non-railway employees.

The present samacheer curriculum will be converted into CBSE very soon with Tamil/Hindi.

It is known from authentic sources that Railway Board is willing to continue the Railway Schools for the betterment of locality.

This is our chance to show our patronage for the Railway Schools by admitting our children and also to spread this message to every Railway/Non-railway parents so that their children could also taste the richness of education provided in our Railway School.

Let us show to the administration that we parents are ready to admit our children in Railway Mixed High school, Arakkonam.

Those who are willing to admit their wards/childrens may approach the teachers of Railway Mixed High School, Arakkonam as early as possible.

Dear Railway School Alumni Association Members,

We Alumni members came up with Vision, Objectives, Organization chart and By-Laws for our school alumni association.
We would like to share this with you all and get your thoughts and suggestions.

Alumni association and coordinators will be formally introduced to ADRM / Southern Railway during 01-March-2018 in school Annual day celebrations.

Vision/Objectives

Our primary focus and goal is to create an organization of alumni advocates to
* Celebrate Centenary (100 years of Railway school AJJ) commencing 2019
* Network and share the Legacy and Experience of 100 long years
* Unify alumni, staff and student
* Promote continued growth and development of students
* Create a favorable environment for successful fund raising efforts to cater student needs/development

Next Steps

* Head Master to introduce Alumni association coordinators (interim) to ADRM, 01-March-2018
* ROSA/AJJ to identify interim representatives for 01-March-2018 function
* Interim team will work on logistics of registering association formally, targeted to be completed by April 2018
* Interim team to plan GRAND launch of ROSA/AJJ, preferably August 15 2018 (since mid week, open for suggestion)
* Association to plan for GRAND Centenary celebration in 2019

We are looking for interested, dedicated members to co-ordinate and take up responsibilities in establishing and functioning of this association. Those who are interested can contact us before 11-March-2018.
