Government Autonomous College Angul Library organized a specialized hands-on training session on the EBSCO database to enhance the research skills and digital literacy of its faculty members and students.The session was formally inaugurated by esteemed Principal Dr. Basanta Kumar Sahoo, who underscored the growing importance of digital library resources, online journal access, and e-learning tools in contemporary higher education and research.

Following the inauguration, Mr. Raj Kumar Mahapatra, EBSCO Trainer, led the technical session. He provided a practical, step-by-step walkthrough on effectively searching, navigating, and accessing academic papers, journals, and e-books within the EBSCO platform. Participants were guided through advanced search techniques, citation downloads, and customized research tools to streamline their academic work. Later an Online Quiz Competition was held in Fastest Finger First mode.The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. (Ms.) Sulagna Choudhury.

An awareness Lecture on the occasion of Teacher’s Day on the theme “Horticulture and its scope” was Conducted under the aegis of Office of the Deputy Director of Horticulture, Anugola, P.G Department of Botany & Internal Quality Assurance Cell(IQAC) of Government autonomous College, Anugola on dated 05th September 2026 in the Conference Hall of Government autonomous College, Anugola.The Programme Briefing and Guest Introduction was done by by Dr.Gouri Sankar Juga Prakash Jena,H.o.D, Botany. In the Inaugural Session, the Lecture session was inaugurated by Prof.(Dr.)Basanta Kumar Sahoo,Esteemed Principal of Government autonomous College, Anugola followed by a cordial welcome address on the theme “Horticulture and its scope” for making it as a career for the young entrepreneurs.It was followed by a felicitation of Principal and Invited Guest from Deputy Directorate of Horticulture ,Anugola with token of appreciation. The Lecture was delivered by Amber Lugun, Deputy Director of Horticulture, Anugola on the Broad spectrum Horticulture and the new vistas associated with Horticultre in the state of Odisha so as solve food crisis. Susanta Kumar Pradhan, Asst. Prof. in Zoology and Coordinator, AGACPS and Alumni Association delivered his talk addressing Horticultural approach for rural as well as urban masses. It was followed by the address of Dr. Sugyani Rath,H.o.D, Commerce,Associate Academic Bursar & Co-cordinator, IQAC on the career opportunities of Horticulture creating and connecting the skill of youth.Dr. Smita tapaswini, H.o.D,Mathematics, Cordinator,Career counseling delivered her talk regarding career opportunities in Horticulture.A Cordial Vote of thanks was given by Susanta Kumar Pradhan, Asst. Prof. in Zoology and Coordinator, AGACPS and Alumni Association for organizing such a nice forum for the students. The entire programme was coordinated by by Dr.Gouri Sankar Juga Prakash Jena,H.o.D, BotanyGovernment autonomous College, Angul. In the entire session, about 120 enthusiastic students from UG & P.G including some XI students were participated.

A talk on HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention was organised by the RRC Unit of Government Autonomous College, Angul, on 21-08-2026 at 3.30 pm with the objective of creating awareness among students about HIV/AIDS, its modes of transmission, preventive measures, and the importance of a stigma-free society.
The session was chaired by our esteemed Principal Sir, Dr. Basanta Kumar Sahoo, whose presence and encouragement added significance to the programme. The programme was coordinated by the RRC Convenor-Secretary, Dr. Anasuya Mishra. The session was anchored beautifully by Ms. Rashmita Sahoo, who welcomed the guests and participants and conducted the programme smoothly. The talk was organized by YRC Counsellors Bipin Kumar Behera, Basaba Palei and Sagarika Muduli.
The resource persons, Mr. Umakanta Mohanty and Ms. Padmalaya Sarangi, from DHH Anugola delivered informative and engaging talks on HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention. They explained various aspects of HIV infection, its transmission, preventive measures, and the importance of timely awareness and responsible behaviour. Their presentations were highly interactive, allowing the students to actively participate, ask questions, and clarify their doubts. The session helped the participants understand that accurate knowledge and awareness are essential tools in preventing HIV/AIDS and reducing social stigma associated with the disease.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Anasuya Mishra, who expressed sincere gratitude to the Principal Sir, the resource persons, the anchor, faculty members, students, and everyone who contributed to the successful organisation of the programme.
The awareness session was informative, interactive, and meaningful, leaving the participants with a stronger understanding of HIV/AIDS prevention and the need to promote compassion, awareness, and a stigma-free society.

# Report on Awareness Programme on GFTN CFI Cohort 3

The **Career Counselling and Placement Cell, Government Autonomous College, Angul** organised an **Awareness Programme on GFTN CFI Cohort 3** to familiarise students with the programme, its objectives, benefits, and career-oriented learning opportunities.

During the programme, students were briefed about the registration process and a **QR code for registration was shared** with them. The students were also assisted in filling out the registration form. The experiences and feedback of students from the **previous cohort who participated in the programme last year** were shared with the participants to motivate them and encourage greater participation.

The session highlighted the importance of acquiring industry-relevant skills and making use of such opportunities for enhancing knowledge and employability. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and was successfully conducted with active participation from the students.

ଅନୁଗୋଳ ତା ୦୯/୦୪/୨୦୨୬ ରିଖ: ଆଜି ସରକାରୀ ସ୍ଵୟଂଶାସିତ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ , ଅନୁଗୋଳ ରେ ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷା ବିଭାଗ ,ଓଡିଶା ସରକାର ଙ୍କ ପତ୍ରାଙ୍କ ୧୮୦୬୮ /୦୪/୦୪/୨୦୨୬ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ କ୍ରମେ ଓଡିଆ ପକ୍ଷ ପାଳନ ଅବସରରେ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା, ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ବାହିନୀ, ମାଇଁ ଭାରତ ,ଅନୁଗୋଳ, ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥାଗାର ଓ ଉଚ୍ଚଶିକ୍ଷା ବିଭାଗ ,ଓଡିଶା ସରକାର ଙ୍କ ମିଳିତ ଆନୁକୁଲ୍ୟରେ ‘’ଆସନ୍ତୁ ବହି କିଣିବା’’ : ଆମ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ଲିଖିତ ପୁସ୍ତକକୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ କରିବା”ଓ ଓଡିଆ ପୁସ୍ତକ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନୀ ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କୁ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରଫେସର(ଡକ୍ଟର)ବସନ୍ତ କୁମାର ସାହୁ ଉଦଘାଟନ କରିଥିଲେ। ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ପର୍ବରେ ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ଡକ୍ଟର ସାହୁ ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା ଓ ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ମାନଙ୍କୁ ଓଡିଆ ପକ୍ଷ ପାଳନ ଅବସରରେ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷା ସାହିତ୍ୟ ପ୍ରତି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ ସମର୍ପିତ ଏହି ‘’ଆସନ୍ତୁ ବହି କିଣିବା’’ : ଆମ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷାରେ ଲିଖିତ ପୁସ୍ତକକୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧ କରିବା”କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମର ଗୁରୁତ୍ଵ ଉପରେ ଆଲୋକପାତ କରିଥିଲେ।ଏହି ଅବସରରେ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଅଧ୍ୟକ୍ଷ ପ୍ରଫେସର(ଡକ୍ଟର)ବସନ୍ତ କୁମାର ସାହୁ ଙ୍କୁ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା, ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ବାହିନୀ, ମାଇଁ ଭାରତ ,ଅନୁଗୋଳ, ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥାଗାର ଅଧିକାରୀ ମାନେ ଉତ୍ତରୀୟ ଦେଇ ସମ୍ବର୍ଦ୍ଧିତ କରିଥିଲେ।ଏହି ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶନୀ ରେ ଓଡିଆ ଭାଷାସାହିତ୍ୟ କୁ ଋଦ୍ଧିମନ୍ତ କରିଥିବା ପ୍ରଥିତଯଶା ସାହିତ୍ୟିକ ମାନଙ୍କ ଦ୍ଵାରା ଲିଖିତ ବିଭିନ୍ନ ବର୍ଗର ପୁସ୍ତକ ପ୍ରଦର୍ଶିତ ହୋଇଥିଲା। ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଛାତ୍ରଛାତ୍ରୀ ଓ ସମସ୍ତ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଓ ଅଣଶିକ୍ଷକ କର୍ମଚାରୀ ମାନେ ଆମ ଓଡିଶା ର ପାରମ୍ପରିକ ପୋଷାକ ପରିଧାନ କରି ବହୁ ସଂଖ୍ୟା ରେ ଯୋଗଦେଇଥିଲେ। ଏହି ପରିପ୍ରେକ୍ଷୀରେ ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ର ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ ଅଧିକାରୀ ଡକ୍ଟର ଗୌରୀଶଙ୍କର ଯୁଗପ୍ରକାଶ ଜେନା,ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ବାହିନୀ ର ଅଧିକାରୀ ଡକ୍ଟର ରାକେଶ ରଞ୍ଜନ ବେହେରା, ମହାବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟର ଗ୍ରନ୍ଥାଗାରିକ ଶ୍ରୀମାନ ବିଶ୍ଵଜିତ ନାୟକ, ଓ ଭାରତ ସରକାରଙ୍କର ମାଇଁ ଭାରତ ,ଅନୁଗୋଳ ଶାଖାର ବୈଷୟିକ ଅଧିକାରୀ ତପନ କୁମାର ସାମଲ ଉକ୍ତ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମ କୁ ପରିଚାଳନା କରିଥିଲେ। ଏହି କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ବାହିନୀ ଓ ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା ରେ ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ୫୦ ରୁ ଊର୍ଦ୍ଧ୍ଵ ଜାତୀୟ ସମର ଶିକ୍ଷାର୍ଥୀ ଓ ଜାତୀୟ ସେବା ଯୋଜନା ର ସ୍ୱେଚ୍ଛାସେବୀ ଉତ୍ସାହ ଓ ଉଦ୍ଦୀପନା ର ସହିତ ସାମିଲ ହୋଇଥିଲେ।
