Lal Bahadur Shastri shares his birthday with Mahatma Gandhi. He was born on 2 October, 1904, and served as the second prime minister of independent India from 1964 to 1966.
MK Gandhi expanded as Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, is reverentially
described as the father of India. With a fitting leadership to the freedom struggle in India, Gandhi played a pivotal role in securing freedom for India from the oppressive British rule.
A strong advocate of Satya (Truth) and Ahimsa (non-violence), Gandhi showed the power of love and non-violence in combating injustice and oppression. Mahatma is the title given to this inspiring personality who led the masses with his optimism, courage, his principles, and practice.
Mahatma Gandhi was born in Porbandar, also known as Sudamapuri in Gujarat on October 2, 1869. His birthday is celebrated as Gandhi Jayanti every year on 2nd October. While we celebrate Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday this year, here are a few inspiring quotes from the leader who is revered, not only by Indians but by the world at large.
Mahatma Gandhi’s famous quotes:
"If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. We need not wait to see what others do.”
Mahatma Gandhi on women empowerment
“To call woman the weaker s*x is a libel; it is man's injustice to woman. If by strength is meant moral power, then woman is immeasurably man’s superior”

She is Mary Ann Bevan who was known as the "ugliest woman in the world" but when you know her life you'll call her the "most beautiful person in the world."
Mary Ann suffered from acromegaly due to which she had abnormal growth and facial distortion.
After the death of her husband, with no breadwinner in the house, accumulating debts and financial needs of her 4 children she decided to enter the humiliating contest and won the offensive title of "ugliest woman in the world" later she was hired by a circus, toured different cities where people came to laugh and humiliate her.
She endured the ridicule of others in order to raise her children and give them a better quality of life. She died in 1933.
To this day, society judges people on their physical appearance, if our eyes could see souls instead of bodies, Mary Ann would have been the most beautiful woman in the world.
The way we express ourselves can speak.
straight to someone's heart...can change their own way of thinking....This would make a nice matching activity and discussion on toxic positivity.
It is well said that teachers provide us with basic morals of life, like overcoming obstacles and teaching us the value of life. This is the reason they are considered the second parents of every student.
The word Guru is derived from ancient times
and given the most priority. As per Hindu
beliefs, it considers the gurus as Brahma(creator), Vishnu(the preserver) and Maheswara(the destroyer). They are considered as absolute Lords.
Happy Teacher's Day to all the teachers! Your wisdom, dedication and kindness will always lead us on the right path and inspire us to be better human beings.
All the efforts and hard work you have put into bringing out the best in us can never be repaid in mere words. We can only be grateful to have a teacher like you!
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY
When I was a student, if I did not study I risked not getting a good job.
But now, as a teacher, I tell my students that for the current generation students, even if they study well, they might not get a job.
Solution:
SKILL! SKILL! SKILL!
Be aware, adapt, and stand out.
A master builder went to his boss and said, “I’m too tired to build any more houses. I’ve decided to retire.” A few days later the contractor met with Clyde, the master builder, and said, “Please. Would you reconsider and build one final house? I really need you to head up this project. Please.”
After thinking about it, the carpenter agreed and began working on his last project. However, his heart wasn’t in it. As a result, the workmanship was shoddy and the quality fell far below his usual standards. The house barely passed inspection.
On the last day of the project, the contractor gathered his employees together at the job site asked the carpenter and his wife to be present. The boss announced, “As you know, this is Clyde’s last day with us. He has been a faithful employee of our company for years and we want to do something special to honor him. Clyde, this house you have built is not going to be sold. We are giving it to you and your wife as a gift for your years of service. This is your retirement home – one I know you will enjoy for the rest of your life.”
Clyde had just learned the greatest lesson of his life.
“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.”

This map shows the movement of an eagle over a twenty year period. The tracker was installed in Russia and finally died twenty years later in Saudi Arabia's Children Valley. Very interesting to see how far this eagle traveled over its twenty years of life and the great distances it traveled in many countries. Also what is interesting to note is how he avoided crossing the sea. You can clearly see where the longest route was made just to keep flying over the ground. Many species of birds spend their entire lives flying over the sea, but one thing is for sure, and this eagle certainly avoided crossing the sea. Nature is amazing!
