TRIBAL WARRIORS × THE CAMP — MANDREM

This Sunday, we’re launching Tribal Warriors at another affiliated gym - The Camp in Mandrem.

And we particularly want to encourage the women of Goa to come and give it a try.

This is martial arts for real life - MMA striking, kickboxing and Muay Thai in a safe, welcoming and fun environment.

You don’t need to be a fighter.
You don’t need previous experience.
You just need to turn up and be willing to learn.

The introductory workshop will be led by Morgan, Swiss National Champion, with Bonny Sinary, founder and head coach of Tribal Warriors, there to support, share some knowledge and bring some fun to the session.

We’ll work through striking, movement, padwork and the foundations of good technique - giving everyone a taste of what the new Tribal Warriors program at The Camp will offer.

And this is just the beginning.

Morgan will be building a regular Tribal Warriors program at The Camp, with mixed classes and a dedicated women-only class - creating a space where more girls and women can discover martial arts, get stronger, build confidence and have fun doing it.

Over this last week, I’ve found myself at a complete loss at what to post.

How do you begin to summarize 13 years of memories, struggles, friendships, fighters, laughter, transformation, heartbreak, growth, community and life?

Nothing is enough

Then Daria made a beautiful post about what Tribal Warriors has meant to her…

And i realised that this story was never only mine to tell.

Tribal Warriors was built by every single person who has walked onto these mats, trained with us, supported us, believed in us, fought beside us, healed with us, cried with us, won with us, lost with us, even those who have left us for other journeys... all have helped shape this tribe into what it has become.

And none of it would ever have been possible without the unwavering support, belief, generosity and kindness of Moshe and the Artjuna family, who gave us a home and the freedom to build something magical over all these years.

So many lives were touched because of the space they allowed us to create.

So instead of trying to explain Tribal Warriors myself, I want this final week at Artjuna to belong to the people whose lives became part of this journey.

Its switch stance week

We're moving seamlessly between stances to create angles and confuse our opponents

We've even confused ourselves a bit too, on occasion 😅

But it's becoming more natural for the crew with every rep!

Our Saturday Pop-up was great fun (though very hot)!

We trained like Warriors, Morgane and Bonny guiding the team through some technical padwork, was a beautiful mix of people... old and new, young and old!

Youngest was 7 years and oldest, 72 years!

Wow, what a tribe 😃

Then Chinmay guided us through his Club and mace workouts, which i can feel is going to be just marvellous for our shoulders and body connection!

Finally Daria did some aroma-diagnostics, inspiring many with the magic of her plant oils and then a brave few stood on her bed of nails - a challenge for mind, body and soul.

Thank you all for sharing this day with us

And thank you to Coco Padel for allowing us to test out their space for the morning.
