Government Boys' High School Qazigund successfully conducted an Awareness Campaign on Cyber Hygiene & Cyber Security on 28 September 2026.
The session was conducted by Cyber First Responder/Master Trainer Basharath Yousuf, with the aim of creating awareness among students and the community about safe, responsible and secure use of the digital world.
The campaign was conducted in collaboration with I3C-CIT Jammu, CyberPeace, and Reform and Rehabilitation Foundation, with support from Google.org.
We are grateful to all the participating students, teachers, parents and community members for their active participation and commitment towards building a safer and more responsible digital society.

Government Boys' High School Qazigund celebrated Teachers’ Day with great enthusiasm, dignity and warmth. The programme was organized to honour the teaching fraternity and acknowledge the invaluable role of teachers in shaping the academic, moral and social development of students.
The celebration witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and staff members. Students presented a rich variety of cultural and literary performances, including Qawwali, speeches, poems, thought-provoking talks and other presentations. Through these performances, the students expressed their gratitude, affection and respect for their teachers.
Various participants spoke on meaningful topics related to the role of teachers, the importance of education, discipline, character building, the responsibilities of students and the enduring bond between teachers and students. The Qawwali performances were particularly appreciated and added a vibrant cultural dimension to the celebration.
A special moment of the programme was the presentation of special mementos to the Headmaster, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, and Master Muhammad Ishaq Shah, as a mark of respect and appreciation for their long dedicated service and contribution to the institution in particular and education department in general
Another highlight of the occasion was the presentation of the Best Teacher Award for the Year 2026 to Mtr. Nusrat John, in recognition of her dedication, commitment, exemplary service and valuable contribution to the academic and overall development of students. The honour was warmly appreciated by the staff and students.
The programme also provided students with a platform to showcase their talents and creativity while reflecting on the profound influence teachers have on their lives. The performances highlighted the fact that teaching is not merely the transmission of knowledge but a noble responsibility involving guidance, inspiration and character building.
The celebration concluded with words of appreciation for all the participants, organizers and teachers whose collective efforts made the event meaningful and memorable.
The Grand Teachers’ Day Celebration thus served as a heartfelt tribute to the dedication, wisdom and selfless service of teachers, while strengthening the bond of respect and gratitude between teachers and students.

Government Boys High School Qazigund today hosted a ā€˜Har Ghar Tiranga’ programme organised by 163 Battalion CRPF ahead of the 80th Independence Day celebrations.The programme was graced by Commandant 163 Battalion CRPF, Shri N.K. Singh, along with CRPF personnel, the Headmaster, teaching staff and students of the school.
The programme commenced with the National Anthem and National Song followed by an inspiring interaction with the students.
Addressing the gathering, Commandant N.K. Singh highlighted the significance of Independence Day and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. He encouraged students to uphold the dignity of the National Flag, stay away from social evils, focus on education and channel their energy towards constructive activities and nation-building.
He also apprised the gathering about various CRPF Civic Action and Madadgar initiatives, including assistance and welfare activities for people, particularly those residing in far-flung areas.
Headmaster, Government Boys High School Qazigund, Shri Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, expressed gratitude to the CRPF for organising the programme and said that the freedom we enjoy today is the outcome of immense sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and previous generations. He urged students to remember these sacrifices, remain committed to good deeds, education and responsible citizenship, and contribute positively towards the progress of the nation.
The Headmaster also highlighted the positive transformation and developmental progress witnessed in Jammu and Kashmir and encouraged students to become responsible, educated and constructive citizens committed to the vision of a peaceful, prosperous and Viksit Bharat.
The programme concluded with a renewed pledge to uphold the values of patriotism, unity, education, social responsibility and nation-building.
