On Earth Day, our little learners didn’t just celebrate the Earth—they experienced it.
Through hands-on exploration, nature-based activities, and mindful play, children connected with the world around them in the most meaningful way. From feeling the soil to understanding plants and making small eco-friendly choices, every moment became a lesson in care, curiosity, and responsibility.
Because in early childhood education, the Earth is not just a theme for a day… it is a living classroom that shapes young minds to grow with awareness, empathy, and love for their environment.

A Visit to the Sericulture Development Department Aachabal

Today,our Class 7 students participated in an outdoor educational visit to the Sericulture Development Department at Achabal, Anantnag.

The primary objective of this visit was to provide students with both awareness and practical exposure to the process of sericulture.During the session , students learned about the rearing of silkworms, their life cycle- from egg to larva to cocoon - and the overall process involved in silk production.They were also introduced to the importance of maintaining hygiene,proper feeding using mulberry leaves, and the scientific management practices essential for successful silk production.

The enriching experience helped students understand the significant role sericulture plays in promoting self-reliance,generating employment,and preserving traditional industries.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mrs Rubi Jan, Female Officer at the Sericulture Seed Station ,Achabal , along with all the staff members, for their valuable guidance, support, and for making this visit both successful and meaningful.

Our JKG children explored the beauty of the Tulip Garden, not just with their eyes, but with their hearts — observing, questioning, and connecting with nature in the most innocent way. This visit was more than a trip; it was a living classroom where learning bloomed alongside every flower.
