On 02 December 2025, our school proudly observed Funday, a vibrant and inspirational day designed to celebrate creativity, collaboration, and joyful learning. The event brought an atmosphere of enthusiasm as students. showcased their talents beyond the classrooms.
A special highlight of the day was the display of home-made dishes, beautifully prepared and presented by students at various stalls. Their active participation reflected not only their culinary skills but also their confidence and sense of responsibility.
Adding to the excitement, many students stepped into the role of Young Entrepreneurs, selling their food items with remarkable zeal and professionalism. This experience offered them a valuable opportunity to learn practical life skills such as communication, teamwork, and financial management.
This memorable event was made possible under the dynamic leadership of Ibrahim Rayoo , whose dedication and unwavering commitment to the excellence of both students and staff continue to inspire the entire institution. His visionary guidance transformed Funday into one of the most unique and joyful events ever organized at our school.

Today, under the esteemed guidance of our worthy Principal Sir Mr. Ibrahim Rayoo our institution Gmhss Nanil proudly organized a grand felicitation ceremony to honour our pass-out students. The event was aimed at acknowledging their hard work, dedication, and achievements during their vocational education journey. It also served as an inspiration for the current students to pursue excellence in both academics and skill-based learning.
During the ceremony, certificates were formally awarded to the students. These certificates were issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with Skill India, NSDC, NASSCOM, and the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education. This recognition highlights the credibility and national-level value of the vocational qualifications our students have earned.
The moment was truly overwhelming and gratifying for the entire institution. Seeing our students progress to higher education while simultaneously stepping into the world of work reflects the strength of the vocational ecosystem we strive to build. Many of these students are now supporting their families with pride, showcasing a balance of academic growth and professional responsibility.

We are upgrading our Computer Lab from Pentium systems to 1st Generation processors equipped with SSDs and DDR3 RAM. This enhancement aims to meet the evolving academic and practical requirements of students across all classes and to transform our institution into a truly hightech learning environment.

Serving of Food Demonstration – Tourism Lab, HSS Nanil

A practical demonstration on food serving was successfully conducted in the Tourism Lab of HSS Nanil Anantnag by Ms. Nazia, Vocational Trainer in Tourism and Hospitality, under the close supervision of the worthy Principal Mr. Mohd Ibrahim Rayoo.
The session aimed at enhancing students’ practical skills in food presentation, service etiquette, and hospitality standards. The demonstration was appreciated for its clarity, hands-on involvement, and relevance to real-world hospitality practices.

Business Fest 3.0 venue- Islamic University of Science & Technology.
Firstly on behalf of Govt.Model Higher secondary school Nanil accept our deepest gratitude for allowing us to experience an incredible learning journey. Furthermore, the manner in which the guests & participants were received by Professor Dr.Aijaz Ahmad Bhat was commendable. The ambience was warm & welcoming & the stalls were set up in an attractive manner. Furthermore, the students had an interactive session in the business lab under the supervision of Professor Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Bhat, motivating them to identify in them any entrepreneurial skills and become job givers rather than job seekers in these difficult times.
Overall it was an amazing learning experience & we hope to be part of such events in future as well. Special thanks to our esteemed Principal, Mr. Ibrahim Rayoo, for extending all possible support and facilities that made this participation inspiring and greatly boosted the morale of students to pursue entrepreneurial career.
