FIRELESS COOKING ACTIVITY
G D Goenka Public School, Anantnag, organised an engaging No-Fire Cooking Activity for the children, providing them with an opportunity to learn, create, and enjoy the art of preparing simple dishes without using fire.
The students enthusiastically participated in preparing delicious and healthy snacks using readily available ingredients. With the guidance of their teachers, they learned how to assemble the ingredients, maintain cleanliness and hygiene, and present their dishes/snacks creatively.
The activity aimed to develop life skills, creativity, teamwork, confidence, and a sense of responsibility among the students. It also helped children understand that cooking can be fun, safe, and creative even without the use of fire.
The excitement and enthusiasm of the students made the activity a joyful and memorable learning experience. Such hands-on activities encourage children to learn through experience while developing practical skills that are useful in everyday life.

GDGA-MUN 2026 | A Celebration of Dialogue, Diplomacy & Young Leadership

GD Goenka Public School, Anantnag proudly hosted GDGA-MUN 2026 on 5th & 6th September 2026, bringing together young minds from across the region for two days of meaningful debate, diplomacy, research and collaboration.

The event was honoured by the gracious presence of Ms. Nayeema Ahmad Mehjoor, Chief Guest, Mrs. Muslim Jan Fazili, Guest of Honour, along with the esteemed Principals of several reputed schools of Anantnag.

With engaging deliberations across UNSC, UNCSW, J&K Legislative Assembly and Lok Sabha, GDGA-MUN provided students with a platform to voice perspectives, challenge ideas and experience the spirit of democratic dialogue.

Honoring Our Mentors: A Joyous Teachers' Day Celebration

The school campus came alive with gratitude and vibrant energy as students gathered to honor their teachers on the occasion of Teachers' Day. Designed as a special tribute to the guiding lights who shape our futures, the event was a heartfelt blend of appreciation, music, and celebration.
Heartfelt Tokens of Love
The morning kicked off with students greeting their teachers with bright smiles, handcrafted cards, and thoughtful gifts. Each card, poured over with hours of creative effort, carried personal messages expressing sincere gratitude for the educators' endless patience and dedication.
High-Energy Dance Performances
The highlight of the day was a series of captivating dance performances prepared by students across different grades. From lively group choreography and classical tributes to high-energy fusion routines, the stage was packed with talent. The mesmerizing music and colorful costumes kept the audience enthralled, bringing wide smiles and enthusiastic applause from the entire faculty.
The celebration wrapped up with fun interactive games between teachers and students, followed by sweet treats. It was a memorable day that left teachers feeling deeply valued and students happy to express their respect in the most vibrant way possible.

HEALTHY TIFFIN COMPETITION
A Celebration of Healthy Choices, Creativity & Parental Involvement
Successfully Held on 31 August 2026
The Healthy Tiffin Competition was successfully organised yesterday with great enthusiasm and participation from our young learners and their parents. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to promote the importance of healthy eating habits while encouraging children to appreciate nutritious, balanced and thoughtfully prepared meals.
The highlight of the competition was the remarkable effort and creativity shown by our parents. They prepared an impressive variety of healthy tiffins, introducing children to different flavours, ingredients and wholesome meal combinations. From colourful fruits and vegetables to nutritious homemade dishes, every tiffin reflected care, imagination and a genuine commitment towards the well-being of our children.
The competition focused on important aspects of a healthy tiffin, including nutritional value and balance, creativity and presentation, portion appropriateness, zero-waste practices, hygiene, neatness and self-care. Parents demonstrated beautifully that a healthy meal can be nourishing, colourful, attractive and enjoyable for young children.
The activity also encouraged children to develop positive food habits, make healthier choices and understand the value of balanced nutrition. It reinforced the message that healthy eating is not only about what we eat, but also about how we plan, present and enjoy our food.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all the parents for their enthusiastic participation, thoughtful preparation and creative ideas.
