🩸 **Blood Donation Camp at SRIT**

On the occasion of the **12th death anniversary of Late Sri Aluru Sunki Reddy**, the NSS Unit of **Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (SRIT)**, in association with the **Government General Hospital** and **Manavatha Voluntary Organization**, organized a Blood Donation Camp.

Students, faculty members and non-teaching staff enthusiastically participated in the camp and donated **151 units of blood**.

**Dr. G. Balakrishna, Principal**, highlighted the importance of blood donation and noted that many patients facing accidents and various health emergencies lose their lives due to the non-availability of blood at the right time. He expressed happiness that blood donation drives like these help in collecting blood and contribute to saving precious lives. He appreciated the NSS team for organizing the programme and thanked the staff of the Government General Hospital for their valuable support in making the camp a success.

**Dr. U. Srinivas, Vice Principal**, congratulated the students, faculty members and staff who donated blood and appreciated their spirit of service and social responsibility. He stated that the institution would continue to organize more such community-oriented programmes in the future.

The programme was attended by **Dr. M. Ranjith Reddy, Vice President**, Heads of various departments, **Sri Tarimela Amarnath Reddy, Convener, Manavatha Blood Bank**, NSS Programme Officers, faculty members and students.

🚀 **Workshop on Accelerators and Incubation Opportunities**

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), in association with the Department of ECE, IETE and INSPIRE Club, organized a one-day workshop on **“Sessions on Accelerators and Incubation Opportunities”** for IV Year I Semester ECE students.

The workshop focused on creating awareness about **startup incubation, accelerators, innovation ecosystems, mentoring, funding opportunities, technology commercialization**, and the pathways for transforming innovative engineering ideas into successful startups.

Students gained valuable insights into the startup journey: **Idea → Prototype → Incubation → Acceleration → Market → Scale**.

A total of **62 students** actively participated in the workshop, making it an engaging platform for nurturing **innovation, entrepreneurship and startup-oriented thinking**.

The session encouraged students to turn their innovative ideas into impactful solutions and explore **entrepreneurship as a career pathway**. 💡🚀

Guest Lecture on Next-Gen Power: Smart LV/MV Panel Architecture

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), in association with The Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI), organized a guest lecture on “Next-Gen Power: Smart LV/MV Panel Architecture.”

The session was delivered by Mr. Raju Kancharla, Engineer-1, Digital Systems Technical Ex*****on – Electrical, Schneider Electric Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. He provided valuable insights into the latest advancements in smart Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) panel architectures, digitalization, intelligent protection, monitoring, automation, and their applications in modern power distribution systems.

The lecture enabled students to understand the integration of smart technologies with conventional electrical panels and gain awareness of emerging industry trends and practical applications. The session also provided an excellent opportunity for students to interact with an industry expert and enhance their technical knowledge.

🚀 **Workshop on “Raising Capital and Finance Management for Start-ups”**

The **Institution’s Innovation Council**, in association with the **Department of ECE, IE(I) and INSPIRE Club**, organized a workshop on **“Raising Capital and Finance Management for Start-ups”** for I Year II Semester ECE students.

The workshop focused on the fundamentals of startup funding, financial planning and effective resource management. Students gained valuable insights into funding avenues such as **bootstrapping, angel investment and government schemes**, along with the importance of budgeting, cash flow management and sound financial decision-making.

Interactive discussions and real-world examples provided students with a practical understanding of the startup ecosystem. A total of **55 students** actively participated in the workshop, enhancing their awareness of entrepreneurship and financial strategies for building sustainable ventures.

SRIT Conducts Awareness Programme on Anti-Ragging and POCSO Act

The Women Empowerment Cell (WEC) of Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (SRIT) organized an Awareness Programme on Anti-Ragging and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act to educate students about safety, legal rights, responsibilities, prevention, and reporting mechanisms.

Sri Raja Sekhar, Secretary and Civil Judge, Senior Division, District Legal Services Authority, Ananthapuramu, was the resource person. He explained the legal and social consequences of ragging and emphasized the importance of maintaining a respectful, safe, and supportive campus environment. He also sensitized students on the key provisions of the POCSO Act and the importance of recognizing and reporting inappropriate behaviour.

Sri Srinivasulu, Senior Advocate; Sri E. Nallappa, Senior Advocate; Sri Govindarajulu, Senior Citizen Association Legal Advisor; and Sri Firoz Khan attended the programme and shared their valuable insights.

Dr. G. Balakrishna, Principal, SRIT; Dr. P. Vinatha, WEC Coordinator; faculty members and students participated in the programme. The interactive session provided students with valuable legal awareness and encouraged them to contribute towards creating a safe and secure campus.

Swachhata Pakhwada Programme Organised at SRIT

Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat), Anantapur, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, in association with the JNTU NSS Cell, NSS Unit of SRIT and the Indian Red Cross Society, organized a **Swachhata Pakhwada Programme** at the SRIT Auditorium.

Quiz, painting, photography and slogan-writing competitions were conducted to promote awareness about cleanliness and hygiene among youth. SRIT students, NSS volunteers and young men and women actively participated in the programme.

NSS Coordinator Dr. G. Mamatha, SRIT Principal Dr. G. Balakrishna, Deputy Tahsildar S. Gopinath, MY Bharat Coordinator Bisathi Bharat, NSS Programme Officers T. Aravind and Dr. Lakshmi Narayana, and President’s Awardee K. Jayamaruthi attended the programme.

The dignitaries emphasized that cleanliness should become a part of everyday life and encouraged youth to actively contribute to cleanliness initiatives. A **Swachh Bharat Pledge** was administered, and prizes and certificates of appreciation were distributed to the participants.

🌟 **SRIT Students Participate in NFLQ 2026 – Southern Regional Round, Bengaluru**

D. Chand Naveed (II CSE) and K. Venkata Sheshu (II CAD), students of **Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (SRIT)**, represented the institute at the **South Regional Round of the NISM–SEBI National Financial Literacy Quiz (NFLQ) 2026**, held in Bengaluru on August 8, 2026.

The students successfully progressed up to the **Proctored Round**, gaining valuable regional-level exposure and strengthening their understanding of financial literacy and the securities market.

The event also featured an interactive financial awareness stall organised by **SEBI and NSE**, where the students enthusiastically participated in activities including the *Wheel of Financial Wisdom*, online quizzes and investor-awareness initiatives. They interacted with eminent representatives from SEBI and NSE and gained valuable insights into investment awareness and financial markets.

The students were also rewarded with **goodies** for their performance in the activities and received **participatory e-certificates** for their involvement. 🏆🎁📜

🌱 **SRIT Inaugurates Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Practices & Materials**

The Department of Civil Engineering, **Srinivasa Ramanujan Institute of Technology (SRIT), Anantapur**, in collaboration with **UltraTech Cement Limited**, inaugurated the **Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Construction Practices and Materials** on **10 August 2026**. The Centre has been established to provide students and faculty with practical training, research opportunities, technical demonstrations, industry expert interactions, and industry-oriented learning in sustainable construction practices, eco-friendly materials, advanced construction technologies, waste material utilization, and innovative construction methods.

🚀 **GitHub Go | Technical Session under McCarthy Genesis – Sprint 1 #2**

The Department of **CSE (AI & ML), SRIT (Autonomous), Anantapuramu**, successfully organized **“GitHub Go”**, a technical session conducted under **McCarthy Genesis – Sprint 1 #2**.

The session was led by **Mr. S. Mohammad Irfan**, who served as the resource person. He provided students with valuable insights into the fundamentals of **Git and GitHub**, repository management, branching strategies, version control, pull requests, collaboration workflows, and best practices for contributing to open-source projects.

Through **practical demonstrations and real-time examples**, students gained hands-on exposure to GitHub’s collaborative features and learned how industry-standard version control practices support modern software development.
