As part of the ongoing Nurturing Future Leadership Programme (NFLP) on “Advancing Women Leaders in Higher Education” at “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University, an engaging and insightful session on “Leading Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) with Purpose” was conducted by Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University.

The session explored how higher education institutions, with their multifaceted roles in knowledge creation, human development, innovation, social mobility, institution-building, and nation-building, require a leadership approach that goes beyond administration and control. A key focus of the session was understanding purpose as the enduring societal value an institution exists to create, and translating that purpose into strategy, resource allocation, institutional culture and individual contribution.

The session concluded with a powerful reflection: What institution are we leaving behind for the next generation?
