Career Opportunity at IRMA | Academic Associate - Social Sciences

The Institute of Rural Management Anand (IRMA), under “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University, invites applications for the position of Academic Associate in the Social Sciences Area on an 11-month contractual basis.

The role offers an opportunity to work closely with faculty and contribute to academic processes including course material development, class and examination support, evaluation, quizzes, MOOCs, and other academic responsibilities. It is also designed to provide valuable exposure and learning that can support candidates in pursuing higher studies or future academic and professional opportunities.

Eligibility: Post-graduation in Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or related disciplines, with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks. Candidates with relevant academic or industry experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency in IT and other tools will be preferred.

Remuneration: ₹40,000 per month
Duration: 11 months (renewable, subject to suitability)
Age: Preferably below 35 years

A delegation led by Prof. (Dr.) S. P. Singh, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University, comprising Prof. Madhavi Mehta, Prof. Shyam Singh, and Prof. Satyendra C Pandey, visited Banas Dairy, Palanpur, for an interaction with the leadership of the dairy cooperative.

The delegation engaged in a meaningful discussion on the possibilities of academic affiliation and institutional collaboration, with a focus on strengthening the linkages between academic learning and the practical realities of India’s cooperative sector.

The proposed collaboration seeks to create avenues for knowledge exchange, experiential learning, skill development, and capacity building, enabling students and professionals to gain deeper insights into the functioning and evolving needs of cooperatives.

In the latest episode of the My SIS Series, Nihar Darekar, participant of the 46th Batch of IRMA-TSU’s MBA in Rural Management programme, takes us through his internship experience with GCMMF (AMUL).

His internship provided him with hands-on exposure to B2B market, giving him an opportunity to understand market dynamics, engage with business stakeholders and navigate the practical challenges involved in generating meaningful market insights.

What makes the experience particularly relevant is Nihar’s reflection on how his classroom learning at IRMA-TSU helped him approach these challenges. The subjects, frameworks and skills developed during the academic term provided a foundation that he could apply in a real-world business environment.

Prof. Jayesh Pandey, Assistant Professor, IRMA, “Tribhuvan” Sahkari University, has had his research paper titled, “Inclusive Leadership and Breakthrough Innovation among Expatriate Employees - A Knowledge-Based Approach,” accepted as a Competitive Paper for presentation at the 52nd Conference of the European International Business Academy (EIBA 2026).

The paper explores how inclusive leadership can influence breakthrough innovation among expatriate employees through knowledge quality and knowledge application, offering insights into the role of leadership and knowledge processes in promoting innovation in international work contexts. The study draws on survey data from 273 expatriates in the MENA region and examines the proposed relationships through a moderated-mediation research model.

The EIBA 2026 Conference, themed “Sustainable International Business and Social Value in a Fickle World,” will bring together scholars and researchers from across the world for the exchange of ideas, critical discussions and emerging collaborations in the field of International Business.

The conference will be held 10–13 December 2026 in Aalborg, Denmark, where Prof. Pandey will present the research as part of the conference programme.

This recognition reflects the University’s continued emphasis on research that connects rigorous academic inquiry with contemporary challenges in leadership, innovation and international business.
