✏️ Writing starts long before the pencil touches the paper!

Before writing, children need strong fine-motor skills, hand–eye coordination, sitting posture, attention, and pre-writing skills. Building these foundations makes writing easier and more confident. 💙

Can your child follow a two-step instruction? 👣

“Pick up the ring and place it on the cone” asks a child to listen, remember, and complete two actions in order.

At Helping Hands Child Development & Education Centre, we practise these skills through playful movement activities, with support suited to each child. 💙

Try it at home: give one short two-step instruction during play and allow your child time to respond.

What looks like “challenging behaviour” may be a child trying to communicate. 🧠❤️**

From attention & task engagement to following instructions, transitions, peer interaction, and emotional & sensory regulation — every behaviour gives us valuable information.

👀 Observe. Understand. Support.
A useful observation looks beyond *what* the child did and considers what happened before, during and after the behaviour.

BEFORE YOU GIVE YOUR CHILD A PENCIL CHECK THIS ✍️

🚨 Your child struggling with handwriting? Don’t blame the pencil yet!✏️

Good handwriting doesn’t begin with writing.
It begins with **strong hands, good coordination & fine motor skills.*💪🖐️

Before expecting a child to write ABCs, numbers or sentences, we need to build the foundation:

🖐️ Hand strength
🤏 Finger strength & control
👀 Hand–eye coordination
🎯 Fine motor precision
✏️ Pencil grasp
💪 Wrist stability
🧠 Bilateral coordination

And the best part? These skills can be developed through PLAY! 🧩🎨🧸

So instead of saying:
❌ “Why doesn’t my child write properly?”

Try asking:
✅ “Are my child’s hands ready for writing?”

Small activities every day can create BIG changes over time. ❤️

📌 SAVE this post for your child’s handwriting journey.
📤 SHARE it with a parent, teacher or therapist** who needs to see this.

At Helping Hands Child Development & Education Centre, we work on the skills *behind* the skill — because every little hand deserves the right foundation. 🤝❤️

“If your child is 3 years old and still not speaking…”
One of the biggest myths is - “Wait, they will start speaking on their own.”

Early speech delay should not be ignored. It can affect a child’s communication skills, social interaction, and school readiness.

With the right speech therapy, children can improve:
• Words and sentence formation
• Sound clarity
• Communication skills
• Confidence

The earlier you start, the better the progress.
Don’t wait - early support makes a big difference.
