On 21st April, 2026 mass health education program was conducted by students of 3rd year GNM at Karamsad.

The session focused on promoting a healthy lifestyle, nutritious food habits, and the harmful effects of unhealthy lifestyle and junk food. Awareness about menstrual hygiene, including the importance of cleanliness and use of sanitary products, was also provided. The program helped in increasing knowledge and encouraging positive health practices among the community members.

At the end of the health education students were distributed biscuits to the community peoples.

On 16th April, 2026 students of 5th semester B.Sc. Nursing organized a school health program at Kanya Sada School, Sarsa.

Various activities were conducted, including role plays on “Good Touch and Bad Touch,” “Hand Washing,” and the disadvantages of mobile screen time.

Students also distributed pencils to the students.

On 15th April,2026 students of 5th Semester B.Sc Nursing articipated in the Anganwadi programme at Sarsa.

Where Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, MUAC) were recorded, and BMI was calculated to assess nutritional status.

Students also conducted activities such as playing games, singing songs and poems, teaching counting from 1 to 10, alphabets, days of the week (Sunday to Monday), color identification, and animal names.

They also distributed fruit dishes to the children.

On 11th April, 2026 students of T.Y.GNM conducted an Anganwadi activity for 19 children at Karamsad.

Where Anthropometric measurements (height, weight, MUAC) were recorded, and BMI was calculated to assess nutritional status. Also Growth and development were observed using age-appropriate milestones.

A recitation poem and light exercise session were conducted to promote motor skills and health awareness.

Students were assisted in preparing a nutritious dish and distributed health fruits to each child. Health education on eating fruits was reinforced. The activity successfully promoted child health, nutrition, and early development.

On 8th April, 2026 students of 5th Semester BSc Nursing students visited PHC Verakhadi. Dr. Krishna (Medical Officer) provided a detailed overview of the PHC, including its functioning, population coverage, and staffing pattern.

All departments were explained department-wise, where respective in-charges described their roles and responsibilities in delivering healthcare services.

Additionally, FHW and MPHW explained their fieldwork, duties, and various government health programmes implemented under their supervision.

The visit was highly informative and helped students gain practical knowledge about primary healthcare services and community health management.

On 7th April, 2026 students of 3rd Semester B. Sc Nursing conducted an exhibition on Heat Stroke and its Prevention.

As part of the activity, students prepared informative charts and performed a short role play, effectively conveying important messages related to the introduction, causes, signs and symptoms, and preventive measures of heat stroke.

The exhibition was engaging and informative, reflecting the students’ understanding and creativity in spreading awareness about this important health topic.

On 7th April, 2026 an occasion of World Health Day - 2026 students of 1st Semester B.Sc. Nursing organized an educational exhibition and role plays at Zydus Hospitals, Anand.

The exhibition focused on spreading awareness about simple health tips and various government health schemes, aiming to educate and promote healthy living among the community.

The program was conducted with enthusiastic participation from students and valuable support from the college and hospital authorities.
