**World Health Day Celebration by NSS Volunteers at Khalsa College of Law**

On the occasion of World Health Day, the NSS volunteers of Khalsa College of Law organized an awareness program to promote the importance of health and well-being. The event aimed to encourage students to adopt healthy lifestyles and understand the significance of physical and mental fitness.

A special lecture was delivered by Mansirat Kaur, Assistant Professor, who shared valuable insights on preventive healthcare, balanced nutrition, and stress management. She emphasized the importance of regular exercise, a healthy diet, and maintaining mental well-being in today’s fast-paced life.
The program was conducted under the guidance of the Program Officer, Dr Preet Inder Kaur, who appreciated the efforts of NSS volunteers and motivated them to continue spreading awareness about health and hygiene in society. Dr Gunisha Saluja, Associate Professor, School of Law and other faculty members were also present during the event.

The celebration concluded with an interactive session where students discussed various health-related topics and took a pledge to contribute towards building a healthier community. The program successfully highlighted the theme of “Health for All” and inspired everyone to prioritize their well-being.

On Friday, 13, 2026, the NSS volunteers of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar organized a pledge and rally to promote anti-drug awareness in the community. The program began with a solemn pledge where students committed themselves to staying away from drugs and spreading awareness about their harmful effects. Volunteers then conducted a rally through the nearby areas, raising slogans and distributing informative pamphlets. The initiative aimed to educate people, especially youth, about the dangers of drug abuse and encourage a healthy, drug-free lifestyle.

A slogan writing competition is organised by NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar under "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign as per the directive of the Government of India.

As per the guidelines of the Government of India, NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar under "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign today organised Rally.The volunteers raised the slogan “Ek Kadam swachata ki aur, na gandagi karange, na Karne denge” to inculcate awareness among students and masses to keep our surroundings clean.

As per the guidelines of the Government of India, NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar under "Swachhta Hi Seva" campaign organised Campus Cleanliness Drive in which Volunteers participated very enthusiastically. They cleaned the campus and adjoining areas on Ram Tirath Road, Amritsar.

NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law today celebrated NSS Day in the College . On this day, a lecture on significance of NSS in students‘ life was delivered by Dr. Varinder Singh, Associate Professor and HOD, Deptt. of Laws, GNDU, Regional Campus, Jalandhar. He highlighted the importance, aims and objectives of NSS to the volunteers. He inspired them to participate in NSS activities enthusiastically as it helps them in development of team-building spirit, empathy, cooperation etc. among them. A poster making competition was also organised to celebrate this day. Students also got certificates and medals for their participation in this competition.

NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar organised National Sports Day on 29th and 30th August, 2024 to commemorate the memory of Hockey legand Major Dhyan Singh. Students actively participated in various games like volleyball, spoon lemon race, tug of war, chess etc.

The NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar celebrated Independence Day today under “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. The flag hoisting ceremony was performed by Prof. (Dr.)Jaspal Singh,Director,Khalsa College of Law,Amritsar. The volunteers also took pledge to serve the country. A rally was also organised by the NSS unit.

NSS unit of Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar is celebrating Independence Day under Har Ghar Tiranga campaign launched by the government from 9 to 15 August,2024. NSS unit of the College organised a Poster making Competition in which students of the College participated very enthusiastically.
