Shri Ram Ashram Public School was established in 1999 by Shri Ram Educational Society (Regd.). The Society was founded in 1923 in response to National Movement particularly Non-Cooperation Movement of Gandhi Ji. The Jallian Wala Bagh Tragedy also inspired the founders to start an educational institution: Shri Ram Ashram Sen.Sec. School, to meet the challenge of British Colonial System and to promote the spirit of nationalism in the students. The school was blessed by leaders like Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya. The institution was purely national and did not get any Govt. aid or charge any capitation fee from the students. The stress was laid on the promotion of values.
In 1999 in response to the changing scenario and public aspirations of the Society , then headed by Late Dr. Harbilas Rai a great visionary and missionary got Shri Ram Ashram Public School affiliated to CBSE board . It was his vision that transformed the school from a strength of 19 students in 1999 to 2950 in 2011- within a short span of eleven years. The school is providing latest technological facilities through Audio Visual infrastructure without sacrificing the traditional Indian moral and cultural values . It is a beautiful blend of modernity and traditions.
In eleven years the school has made tremendous progress . CBSE results of both 10th and 12th classes every year is cent percent. It has excelled also in sports and co-curricular activities. It has been bagging top positions in games and in debates and declamation contests. In one of its science projects the name of the school was put on the website of NASA- which speaks volumes of its achievements.
The school is set to scale greater heights under a very liberal and visionary managing committee led by Sh. Balbir Bajaj , the present president of the committee.
