Tech Era Computer Society of P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized a seminar on Image Processing.The seminar was delivered by Dr. Vijay Kumar Jadon, Assistant Professor, Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa, Principal, Khalsa college, Amritsar, Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur, Head, P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications and Dr. Mani Arora , Co-coordinator of Tech-Era Computer Society welcomed Dr. Vijay Kumar Jadon by giving him a momento for his contribution to the academic development of the students. Dr. Atam Singh Randhawa, Principal, Khalsa college in his remarks, expressed his gratitude to Dr. Vijay Kumar Jadon for his insightful session and praised the efforts of P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications department for organizing such seminars. Prof. Sukhwinder Kaur emphasized the importance of such seminars in bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry-oriented skills. Dr. Mani Arora , Co-coordinator encouraged students to actively participate in academic activities and stay updated with emerging technologies like image processing and artificial intelligence to enhance their career prospects. In this seminar, Dr. Jodan elaborated on topics such as digital image enhancement, feature extraction, pattern recognition, and real-world applications in areas like medical imaging, artificial intelligence, and computer vision. The event concluded with an interactive Q&A session where students actively engaged with Dr. Jadon. Dr Rupinder Singh, Prof. Prabhjot Kaur, Dr. Anureet Kaur and other faculty members were also present in this event.

P.G. Department of Computer Science and Applications conducted four days IBM SkillsBuild Workshop on Advanced IT Skills

The final day of the workshop concluded with project demonstrations and practical sessions where students applied all their learnings from Python, Numpy, and Pandas modules.
They worked on mini projects focused on data analysis, visualization, and reporting using real-world datasets.

The workshop ended with a Certificate Distribution Ceremony, recognizing the enthusiastic participation of students throughout the 4 days training. The event successfully strengthened their analytical and programming skills, bridging the gap between academia and industry.
