Swapping out gas stoves and conventional cooking methods for fresh, wholesome ingredients and boundless imagination, they took part in an exciting “𝗡𝗼-𝗙𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴” challenge. The mission was clear: prove that mouth-watering food can be prepared without burdening the planet. 🌎💚

Classrooms were transformed into lively, green kitchens where young chefs crafted an impressive spread — from colourful sprout chaats and layered salads to cool fruit beverages and wholesome no-bake energy bites. 🥗🍉🥤

What truly set this activity apart, however, was the way it brought essential life skills to the forefront. Far more than a welcome change of pace, this was experiential learning in its truest form.

𝗗𝗔𝗩 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹, 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱, 𝗔𝗺𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘀𝗮𝗿, organised “A Summer Delight” – Cool Mocktails & Tasty Canapés Making Competition in the Food Lab under the guidance of the Food Production Department. 🍸👩‍🍳

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from 48 students of Class XI, forming 24 teams from the Humanities, Commerce, and Medical streams. Displaying remarkable creativity, teamwork, and culinary skills, the young chefs prepared refreshing mocktails and innovative canapés using seasonal ingredients. 🍓🥒🍍

The participants were judged on taste, presentation, creativity, hygiene, and use of natural ingredients, making the competition both exciting and challenging for the judges. ✨
