Heart to Heart – Making Memories With Dads

What a joy it was to welcome our wonderful dads to Doon Toddlers!

Together, big hands and little hands got busy in the kitchen, cooking up treats (and plenty of giggles along the way!) Our Soft Gym buzzed with laughter as dads and children teamed up for games, races and lots of happy chaos.

And in a special moment to melt every heart, our little ones proudly presented handmade tokens of love they had crafted just for their dads.

At Doon Toddlers, we know children thrive when learning is rooted in play, connection and togetherness — and today was a beautiful reminder of exactly that.

Thank you, dads, for showing up, getting involved and making memories that will last a lifetime.

National Handloom Day at Doon Toddlers

Today our little hands worked on little looms! Our toddlers went over and under, thread by thread, discovering the magic of weaving — and falling in love with the colours, textures and stories woven into every piece of cloth.

We gathered close for grandma-style storytelling, listening to tales passed down like threads on a loom — one story, one memory, one root at a time. Because before children can honour a tradition, they must first feel it, touch it and wonder about it.

And most of all, we paused to say thank you to the weavers — the skilled, hardworking hands across India whose patience and artistry turn simple thread into beautiful cloth. Every handloom carries a human story, and today our children began to understand just how special that is.

Back to our roots. Woven with love. Made by hand.

Every day is a new adventure as our little learners discover the magic of the letters through hands-on activities, and joyful play. Along the way, they’re building confidence, curiosity, creativity, and friendships—one smile, one sound, and one tiny achievement at a time.

Because in every little mind lies endless potential.

First day back, first splash of learning!
After a restful summer break, our little ones returned to a classroom alive with the sounds of the monsoon — and we welcomed the season in with our sleeves rolled up! Inspired by the rhythm of the rains, our children spent the morning dusting, washing and drying tiny napkins.
Small hands wrung out cloths, swished them through soapy water, hung them up to dry and watched with wonder as the breeze did its work. There were giggles, splashes and so much pride in a job well done.
What looked like simple fun was rich with purpose: strengthening little fingers, building focus and coordination and nurturing independence and care for their shared space. These "practical life" moments are the heart of early learning.

Day 6 of Toys R Us Summer Camp and our campers walked in like they owned the place — because honestly, they do.
The week began the way all the best things do — with music filling every corner and movement that shook the Monday morning right off. Singing, swaying, stomping — the room was alive before the day had barely begun.
Then came tag — squealing, running, the delicious chaos of a good chase.
We gathered close for a Toy Story Storytime that had everyone leaning in, eyes wide, completely gone into the world of Woody, Buzz, and the friends who never give up on each other.
Our little scientists then stepped back into the lab for another round of space science experiments — questioning, predicting, watching in wide-eyed wonder as the universe revealed a few more of its secrets.
Faces full of character, full of story — Toy Story face cards had everyone seeing themselves as the hero of their own adventure.
And then — the magic.
The Mystery Toy Box made its appearance, and just like that, the room held its breath. What's inside? Reach in. Feel it. Guess. A moment of pure sensory wonder, pure presence, pure childhood.
Monday blues? Not a chance. Not here. Not ever.
Day 6 — and the magic is only just warming up.
