Young Quiz Masters of Holy Heart Bring Home Triple Glory

The ASISC Amritsar–Tarn Taran Zonal Inter-School Quiz Competition, hosted at Holy Heart Presidency School, witnessed enthusiastic participation from nearly 20 reputed schools across the Senior (XI–XII), Junior (IX–X), and Sub-Junior (VI–VIII) categories.
The competition comprised intellectually stimulating rounds on Current Affairs, General Awareness, Science, and History & Civics, along with an engaging Audio-Visual Round to identify eminent Indian personalities. The event culminated in an exciting rapid-fire round that tested the participants’ knowledge, confidence, and presence of mind.
Presidians showcased exceptional brilliance and teamwork, securing the First Position in all three categories. The school proudly lifted the championship trophies in the Senior, Junior, and Sub-Junior divisions, bringing immense pride and honour to the institution.
On this momentous occasion, Chairman Mr. Vijay Seth, Director Mrs. Anjna Vijay Seth, Director Mr. Vikram Seth, and Principal Mrs. Shilpa Vikram Seth conveyed their heartfelt felicitations and applauded the exemplary performance, intellectual brilliance, and unwavering dedication displayed by the participants. while Mrs. Director Anjna Vijay Seth shared valuable nuggets of wisdom, motivating students to work hard with the inspiring words, “Work Works,” encouraging them to read newspapers daily and emphasizing that such competitions keep young minds informed, aware, and intellectually updated.

Mother’s Day Festivities at Holy Heart Presidency School 🎉🌷✨
Holy Heart Presidency School celebrated Mother’s Day with great joy and enthusiasm. 💐🥰 Tiny tots of Classes 1 and 2 👧🧒 participated wholeheartedly in the celebration. The students presented beautiful songs 🎶🎤 and energetic dance performances 💃🕺 dedicated to mothers. Their performances highlighted the love ❤️, care 🤗, and sacrifices 🌟 of mothers and also showcased mothers in different professions 👩⚕️👩🏫👩💼👩🍳.
The colourful presentations 🌈✨ filled the atmosphere with happiness 😊 and appreciation 🌸. Director Ma’am Mrs. Anjana Vijay Seth 🌷 and Principal Ma’am Mrs. Shilpa Vikram Seth 🌹 appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers 👏👏. Everyone enjoyed dancing to the tunes of Mother’s Day songs 🎵💕, making the celebration memorable 🎊 and heartwarming 💖 for all.

The Invisible Pandemic: Breaking the Silence on Mental Health
“Mental health is not a destination, but a journey of care and understanding.”
An enlightening awareness session on “The Invisible Pandemic: Global Mental Health” was organized for the students of Class XII and was conducted by Ms. Kamayani Bali Mahabal, an esteemed trainer in Gender, Health, and Human Rights. The students actively participated in an interactive discussion and shared their personal concerns related to academic pressure and emotional stress. The worthy guest guided them with practical remedies such as positive thinking, time management, mindfulness, and open communication.
The informative session encouraged the students to speak openly about mental health and seek support whenever needed. It also reminded everyone that mental health deserves equal attention as physical health.
The programme concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the students deeply motivated to embrace self-care and prioritize emotional well-being in their everyday lives.

The ASISC Amritsar–Tarn Taran Zonal Inter-School Quiz Competition, hosted at Holy Heart Presidency School, witnessed enthusiastic participation from 20 schools across three categories — Senior (XI–XII), Junior (IX–X), and Sub-Junior (VI–VIII).
The quiz included rounds on Current Affairs, General Awareness, Science, and History & Civics, along with an Audio-Visual Round to identify eminent Indian personalities. The event concluded with an exciting rapid-fire round that tested the participants’ knowledge and presence of mind.
In the Senior Category, Holy Heart Presidency School secured the first position, followed by Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School and St. Francis School.
In the Junior Category, Holy Heart Presidency School stood first, while Shri Guru Harkrishan Public School and Model Study High School secured the second and third positions respectively.
In the Sub-Junior Category, Holy Heart Presidency School clinched the first position, followed by Shri Ram Ashram Senior Secondary School in second place and Shining Star School in third place.
The event fostered healthy competition, teamwork, and a passion for learning among the students.

Silent Pillars, Strong Nation: Celebration of Civil Services Day
“Civil servants are the silent strength of a nation, turning policies into progress.”
The morning assembly of Class 4A7 was conducted with great enthusiasm to mark National Civil Services Day. The programme beautifully blended knowledge, creativity, and active participation. Students showcased their talents through engaging activities such as poem recitation, storytelling, Do’s and Don’ts, and extempore speaking, emphasizing the vital role of civil services in nation-building.
The assembly was further enriched with segments on current affairs, SST and Science quizzes, along with a vocabulary activity, making the session both informative and interactive. A thoughtful role play on “How to Save Money” highlighted the importance of financial discipline in daily life.
Adding a patriotic touch, a graceful dance performance on “Teri Mitti” captivated the audience. An informative PowerPoint presentation on National Civil Services Day deepened students’ understanding of the occasion. The assembly concluded with an engaging science experiment on “Sink and Float,” sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among learners. Overall, the event proved to be inspiring, educational, and thoroughly enjoyable for all.

The ASISC Amritsar and Tarn Taran Zonal Level Table Tennis Championship, organised by CISCE, witnessed an electrifying display of skill and determination by the girls’ teams of Holy Heart Presidency School. The Under-19 team secured the first position, while the Under-17 team achieved an impressive second position, bringing great pride to school.
In the Under-19 category, Gursimrat Kaur Bal (+2 Medical A2) delivered a stellar performance with 1 gold and 1 silver medal, while Harsimrat Kaur Bal (+1 Medical A2) secured 2 gold medals. Dilshaan Kaur Bhangu (9A9) added glory with 1 gold and 1 bronze. Avneet Kaur (9A9) and Karunya (9A8) also bagged one gold medal each. Additionally, Gursimrat Kaur Bal, Harsimrat Kaur Bal and Dilshaan Kaur Bhangu have been selected for the regional level.
In the Under-17 category, Savreet Kaur Gill (9A8) and Gurnaaz Kaur Virk (9A10) won 1 silver each and moved to the regional level, while Dikshika Sharma (9A10), Sehajnoor Kaur (8A8), and Sachseerat Kaur (8A11) also secured silver medals. Both the teams were awarded a team trophy, marking a proud sporting milestone.

Students of Holy Heart Presidency School achieved notable success at the ASISC Inter-School Amritsar–Tarn Taran Zonal Level Declamation Competition.
Gurshaan Singh of Class 10 secured first position in the Junior Category. He has also qualified for the regional level competition. In the Sub-Junior Category, Mridula Thakur of Class 8 bagged second position while Sabhreen Kaur of Class 12 (Commerce) secured second position in the Senior Category. All three students—Gurshaan Singh, Mridula Thakur, and Sabhreen—were awarded trophies for their outstanding performances in their respective categories.

The morning assembly on the theme “International Dance Day 💃🕺🌍” was conducted by the students of Class 3A7 👧👦 with enthusiasm and joy 😊👏🎉.
The activity highlighted the importance of dance as a form of expression and cultural connection 💃🎭🌍. The students recited poems 🎤📖 and participated in interesting quizzes ❓🧠💡 on Science, S.st 🌏, and General Knowledge 📘, enriching their knowledge and awareness 🌟✨.

Shakespeare Quiz Fiesta: Presidians Celebrate the Timeless Bard in Style!
“All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players."
The spirit of literature and drama came alive as Presidians celebrated the birthday of William Shakespeare with great enthusiasm and creativity. Students of Classes IX and X paid a heartfelt tribute to the legendary playwright through a series of engaging activities.
The celebration began with an enlightening video showcasing the theatrical life and timeless contributions of Shakespeare, setting the stage for an exciting learning experience. This was followed by a thrilling Inter-House Quiz on Julius Caesar, one of his most renowned tragedies.
The quiz featured a variety of stimulating rounds such as Caught in Characters, Fable or Fact, Odd One Out, ‘Who Said It?’, Current Affairs, etc. To keep students updated and aware, a special Current Affairs Round was also included.
Adding to the excitement, interactive audience rounds based on Shakespeare’s life, works, and contributions kept everyone actively involved. Audience members who answered correctly were awarded badges, making the session even more exciting and rewarding.
The competition among the four Houses was intense and closely contested, reflecting the students’ deep knowledge and enthusiasm. After a nail-biting tie-breaker between Humanity House and Prosperity House, it was Humanity House that ultimately emerged victorious, claiming the winning title with great pride.
The event was a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and healthy competition—truly a befitting tribute to the timeless genius of Shakespeare!
