We visited Naina Devi Temple, a temple dedicated to the Divine Feminine, sitting high in the Shivalik hills above the lake.
For centuries, people have climbed up to this place to pray, to ask for strength, to seek protection, to connect with Shakti — the powerful, protective aspect of the Divine.
The temple is also part of the sacred landscape surrounding Anandpur Sahib, where Guru Gobind Singh lived and shaped a crucial chapter of history. Tradition says he came here to meditate and prepare inwardly before outer action.
There is something about this place — open sky, strong wind, steep steps — that invites both humility and courage.
Visiting it together as women felt meaningful.
A reminder that strength is cultivated within before it is expressed in the world.
