ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਕਾ ਤਾਰਕ ਜਾਨੋ ॥
Recognise that Guru Nanak Dev Ji is the Savior of all realms.
ਸੰਤ ਸਰੂਪ ਪਰਮਾਤਮ ਮਾਨੋ ॥
Know Him to be the True Form and the Supreme Soul.
ਕੇਵਲ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਖਾਂਨ ॥
Who is the sole treasury of pure ambrosial love.

ਨਿਰਾਕਾਰ ਕੋ ਰੂਪ ਸਾਕਾਰ ਹੋਯੋ।
Being without Form then You took on a Form.
ਜਪੈ ਸੱਤਿਨਾਮੰ ਸਿਖੀ ਬੀਜ ਬੋਯੋ ॥੪੯॥
Making others J*p the Satnaam and planting the seed of Sikhi.

ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਤੋ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੈਨੋ ਜੋਗੁ ਕੀਤੋਈ ॥
I have not appreciated what You have done for me, Lord; only You can make me worthy,
ਮੈ ਨਿਰਗੁਣਿਆਰੇ ਕੋ ਗੁਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਆਪੇ ਤਰਸੁ ਪਇਓਈ ॥
I am unworthy, I have no virtues at all, You have taken pity on me.

ਜਿਨਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥
Whosoever places his hope in my Guru (Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji),
ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸਾ ॥
has the noose of death cut away.

ਥਾਪਿਆ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਕੀਤਾ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥
He cannot be established, He cannot be created.
ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਸੋਇ ॥
He Himself is Immaculate and Pure.

ਜਾ ਤੂ ਮੇਰੈ ਵਲਿ ਹੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਆ ਮੁਹਛੰਦਾ ॥
When You are on my side, Lord, what do I need to worry about ?
ਤੁਧੁ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈਨੋ ਸਉਪਿਆ ਜਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਬੰਦਾ ॥
You entrusted everything to me, when I became Your slave.

ਗਿਆਨੁ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਸਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਤੇਰੀ ॥
ਸਭ ਤੇ ਵਡਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਕਲ ਰਾਖੀ ਮੇਰੀ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੫੭॥
I know nothing about wisdom, meditation and good deed; I know nothing about Your excellence.
Guru Nanak is the Greatest of all; He saved my honor in this Dark Age of Kalyug.
