In the year 2004 this school was in the headlines of all the Newspapers in Punjab when it broke all the previous 53 years records by winning 8 positions out the first 12 positions in the state when its students won 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 5th positions and had the honour to get recognition in the editorial of the Tribune dated 26th June 2004. In 2009 the school switched over its affiliation to C.B.S.E and was upgraded to 10+2 in 2012. At present more than 2000 students are on its roll besides a team of well qualified experienced and dedicated teachers. The school is co-educational institution.
