Vigyan Mahotsav celebrated at DAV College Amritsar on 21,22,23 Nov,2022 by seven departments of the college including Mathematics Departmentment.Students of Maths Department made rangolis on theme of Mathematics and demonstrated applications of Maths with the help of models .They also interacted with the students of various schools who visited the college during the event and using different softwares of Maths ,they showed that studying Mathematics can be made very easy with the help of these softwares.Using projectors and computers ,they presented difficult topics of Mathematics in a very easy way.Prof Madan Mohan ,Head, Prof Meenu Aggarwal ,Secretary ,Prof Ashu Vij,Prof Vikram Sharma, Prof Shivani Sanan and Prof Manik interacted with the all students of schools and remained present on all the days of the event till the end .Harpreet Singh ,Manikbir, Ruchit Nahr of B SC Sem -5 made the deptt and the college proud by actively participating in the event.

P.G. Department of Mathematics, DAV College Amritsar had organised Mathematical Rangoli competition and Displaying of Mathematical Models at the College Campus in which 30 models were made by the students of undergraduate as well as post graduate students of the college studying Mathematics as main subject.Nearly 20 rangolis were based on the theme of Mathematics.All the students participated enthusiastically and showed keen interest in such type of events.Harpreet Singh of B Sc Economics Sem-5 ,Ruchit Nahr of B Sc NM sem-5 and Bhavika of BSc CS sem-5 were awarded first ,second and third prizes respectively in Model Making Competition .
