π Celebration of Reading Day at Amritsar Public School π
Amritsar Public School enthusiastically celebrated Reading Day on 24th April 2026 (Friday) under the aegis of the Literary Club, with the aim of fostering a love for reading and enhancing literary skills among students.
The celebration commenced with a special Authorβs Meet-Up during the morning assembly, where students were encouraged to explore the world of books, authors, and storytelling.
The day was filled with a variety of engaging and creative activities. Students listened to captivating story narrations, redesigned book covers using innovative materials, and brought their favourite literary characters to life through dress-up and presentations. A special reading corner, the Authorβs Chair, provided a platform for students to read aloud with expression and confidence. Adding a unique touch, the Human Library activity enabled students to present themselves as βliving books,β sharing their thoughts, experiences, and ideas in an interactive manner.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all students, making the celebration both meaningful and memorable. It beautifully highlighted the importance of reading as a lifelong habit and a gateway to knowledge and imagination.

Students and teachers of Amritsar Public School, Focal Point, Amritsar enthusiastically participated in Tealathon 2026, a meaningful run organized by Phulkari β Women of Amritsar to spread awareness about the prevention of cervical cancer. The event was held on 19th April 2026 at Dussehra Ground.
We are delighted to share that Sukhbir Singh of Class V showcased outstanding performance in the 1 km race, securing the 3rd position. π₯π
He was awarded a medal, trophy, and gift hamper, bringing great pride and laurels to the institution.

Amritsar Public School, Focal Point celebrated the vibrant festival of *Baisakhi* on 13th April 2026 with great enthusiasm and cultural spirit. The event beautifully reflected the rich traditions of Punjab.
Students presented wonderful performances including *Bhangra, Giddha, folk songs, skits,* and *folk dances*, filling the atmosphere with joy and energy. Dressed in traditional Punjabi attire, they added colour and authenticity to the celebration.

The final match witnessed an exciting contest between two talented teams, showcasing remarkable sportsmanship and skill.
We are proud to share that students of Amritsar Public School, Focal Point, Amritsar delivered an outstanding performance and secured First Position in the tournament. **Mental Health Awareness Seminar at Amritsar Public School**
On 10.03.2026, a meaningful Mental Health Seminar was organized at Amritsar Public School to spread awareness about the importance of mental well-being among teachers.
The session was conducted by the esteemed resource person, Ms. Kusha Mehra from MHLP. The seminar began with a warm welcome, after which Miss Mehra shared valuable insights about mental health and explained how it plays a vital role in our daily lives. She also discussed common challenges faced by both students and teachers and suggested practical ways to manage these issues effectively.
During the session, she encouraged everyone to take care of their emotional well-being and reminded participants that seeking help when needed is a sign of strength. The seminar was highly interactive, with teachers actively sharing their thoughts and experiences.
Her guidance inspired everyone present and emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy mind along with a healthy body.
