माहिती अधिकार अधिनियम, 2005 अंतर्गत प्राप्त उत्तरानुसार, DMER अंतर्गत येणाऱ्या शासकीय रुग्णालये व शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयांमध्ये Clinical Pharmacist पदनिर्मितीबाबतची कार्यवाही शासकीय स्तरावर सुरू असल्याची माहिती समोर आली आहे.

🏥 DMER अंतर्गत शासकीय रुग्णालये आणि वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयांमध्ये Clinical Pharmacist पदांची आवश्यकता व निर्मिती प्रक्रिया सुरू असल्याचे अधिकृत पत्रातून स्पष्ट झाले आहे.

Meeting with Dr. Nitin Ambadekar, Commissioner of Health Services, Maharashtra

DOPA Maharashtra met with Dr. Nitin Ambadekar, Commissioner of Health Services, to discuss the need for Clinical Pharmacy Officer posts in Maharashtra’s public healthcare system.

The discussion focused on the role of Pharm.D professionals in improving medication safety, antimicrobial stewardship, patient outcomes, and healthcare quality. DOPA-MH also requested action on the recommendations of the committee constituted in 2021.

The Commissioner assured the delegation that a new committee would be constituted to examine the proposal and take the matter forward.

DOPA Maharashtra remains committed to working with the Government to strengthen medication safety and integrate Clinical Pharmacy Services into public healthcare.

Meeting Update | Shri Tukaram Munde, IAS, Commissioner, FDA Maharashtra

Our meeting with Shri Tukaram Munde, IAS, focused on the vital role of Clinical Pharmacists in Medication Safety, Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS), and combating Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR).

The Hon'ble Commissioner acknowledged the importance of Clinical Pharmacists in strengthening the healthcare system. He emphasized that to achieve recognition, we must generate strong numerical evidence and scientific data demonstrating our impact on reducing medication errors, improving patient outcomes, optimizing antimicrobial use, and enhancing healthcare quality.

This discussion has given us a clear direction: "What we do must be documented, measured, and published." Research papers, case reports, and peer-reviewed journal articles will be the strongest foundation for establishing the Clinical Pharmacist cadre in Maharashtra.

This mission requires the collective efforts of every working Clinical Pharmacist, Pharm.D intern, research scholar, and student pursuing thesis work. Every clinical intervention and research project contributes to building the evidence our profession needs.

DOPA Maharashtra is committed to supporting and mentoring Pharm.D professionals and students in converting their clinical work and research into scientific publications.

Together, let's create evidence, strengthen our profession, and shape the future of Clinical Pharmacy in Maharashtra and across India.
