πΈ International Nurses Day Celebration 2026 πΈ
International Nurses Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 12th May 2026 in the Seminar Hall of MMIN&R, Sadopur.
The unveiling of the theme for the year 2026 was graciously done by our respected Principal Maβam, Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal β βOur Nurses. Our Future. Empowered Nurses Save Livesβ. To honor the pioneer of nursing, Florence Nightingale, various creative and cultural activities were organized by the students.

β¨ Presentation of the College Report highlighting academic and non-academic achievements from last Nurses Day to this year
The event was further enriched with mesmerizing cultural performances including solo dances, duet performances, group dances, Saraswati Vandana, singing performances, and other cultural presentations that filled the atmosphere with joy and pride.
Ms. Shabnam Dhiman, Assistant Professor, MMIN&R, served as the overall coordinator and organizer of the event. All faculty members actively took part and contributed to the successful ex*****on of the event.
The celebration reflected the dedication, compassion, and spirit of the nursing profession and paid tribute to the invaluable contribution of nurses to society. Refreshments were distributed to all students at the end of the program. ππ©ββοΈπ¨ββοΈ

β€οΈ Visit to District Red Cross Society Old Age Home
π Ambala | On the occasion of World Red Cross Day
GNM 3rd Year students of M.M. Institute of Nursing & Research visited the District Red Cross Society Old Age Home to gain practical exposure in geriatric and community healthcare.
During the visit, students interacted with elderly residents, monitored blood pressure, provided emotional support, and actively assisted in the free health camp organized by the Red Cross Society.
The activity was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal and Ms. Rajbir Kaur, and supervised by Ms. Kalpana Mohan. The visit helped students strengthen their clinical skills, empathy, and understanding of elderly care.

π¦ World Malaria Day Awareness Activity

01 May 2026 | π Rural Community, Nahan House, Ambala
3rd Year GNM students of M.M. Institute of Nursing & Research conducted an awareness drive on Malaria to educate the community about its spread, symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
Through an interactive role play, students effectively explained how malaria spreads through mosquitoes and highlighted simple preventive measures and timely medical care.
π₯ Around 25β30 community members actively participated and gained valuable health awareness.
Guided by Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal and Ms. Rajbir Kaur, and coordinated by Ms. Kalpana Mohan, the initiative successfully promoted community health and awareness.

29 April 2026 | π Rural Anganwadi, Ambala
GNM 3rd year students from M.M. Institute of Nursing & Research organized a community awareness program on Tuberculosis, focusing on its symptoms, prevention, and treatment.
Through simple explanations and creative charts, students educated the community about early diagnosis and the importance of completing treatment.
Guided by Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal and Ms. Rajbir Kaur, and coordinated by Ms. Kalpana Mohan, the activity also helped students enhance their communication and leadership skills.

π« School Health Activity on Menstrual Hygiene

GNM 3rd year students from M.M Institute of Nursing & Research, Sadopur conducted an awareness session at Government Sr. Secondary School No. 07, Ambala.
The session covered key topics like menstrual hygiene, emotional changes, nutrition, and myth busting, aiming to educate and empower young students.
Guided by Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal and Ms. Rajbir Kaur, and coordinated by Ms. Kalpana Mohan, the activity received great appreciation from Principal Ms. Mamta Gupta and participants.
π Around 120 students actively participated, making the event a great success.

M.M. College of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation, MMU Sadopur, celebrated World Health Day 2026 under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Nalina Gupta. This yearβs theme, βTogether for Health: Stand with Science,β highlighted the power of scientific approaches in improving global health.
The event featured an insightful introduction by Dr. Sonali Guliya, followed by an engaging Poster Presentation Activity where students showcased creative ideas on topics like disease prevention, vaccination, mental health, and healthy lifestyles.
Judged by Dr. Ravindra Sharma and Dr. Nishant Kumar Bali, the activity encouraged awareness, innovation, and critical thinking among students.

To mark the occasion of International Women Day, students of BSc. Nursing (5th Semester), Nursing Institute and Research Centre, MMU β Sadopur celebrated International Women Day at Kakru village on 09th March 2026. Students performed a role-play to highlight issue of domestic-violenceβ and educated women of all ages about their rights under the theme "Give to Gain". The students efforts gain loads of appreciation from Dr. Ankita (Head of the Community Centre) and community centre staff and residential people of village for dramatically spreading awareness about the women's rights in India. The program was organised under the guidance of Dr. Kirandeep Dhaliwal (Principal) and Ms. Rajbir Kaur (Assoc. Prof.) and was coordinated by Ms. Kalpana Mohan (AP) & Ms. Manmeet (CI).

Celebrating the strength, love, and courage of women.
A Poster-making competition was organized by MMIN&R, Sadopur- Ambala on 9th March, 2026 on the occasion of International Women's Day, 2026 based on the theme, "RIGHTS. JUSTICE. ACTION. For ALL Women and Girls," under the directions of Dr. Kirandeep Kaur Dhaliwal (Principal, MMIN&R), and supervision of Ms. Monika (Assistant Professor) and Ms. Swati Sharma (Nursing Tutor).
The objective was to raise the awareness of women's rights, to empower women, & to educate students about gender sensitivity, equality, and to inculcate values in them.
Students participated in the event with great enthusiasm and made it successful. Best posters were selected based on the decisions of judges.
