It was in the year 1926, the auspicious day of Basant Panchami when this school came into existence in the form of Shri Atmanand Jain Gurukul. This was a tribute to the Great Jain Guru His Holiness Late Acharya Shri Vijayanand Surishware Ji Maharaj who said " Illiteracy can be removed from the nation by establishing Vidya Mandir throughout the country. Atmanand Jain Gurukul was later on reestablished in 1954 as S.A.Jain Sr. Model School and got affiliated to C.B.S.E.., New Delhi. In 2004, the school celebrated its Golden Jubilee with great zeal and fervor. With the blessings of our revered Gurus, the school is scaling new heights with each passing year. The school adopts Activity Oriented techniques to teach the young minds. The school, located in the heart of the city is easily approachable. Scholastic and Non scholastic areas are paid attention to in a balanced way . all the modern facilities provided the school help children to broaden their horizon in the fast advancing world of today. Grandparents’ Day Celebration 🌸
S.A. Jain Senior Model School celebrated Grandparents’ Day on 19th September 2026 with warmth, joy and gratitude, honouring the timeless love and wisdom of grandparents.
The celebration featured Navkar Mantra, lamp lighting, Tilak and Garland ceremonies, Parikrama, soulful performances, fun-filled games, ramp walk and talent showcases by grandparents. The heartfelt Aarti and prize distribution added to the emotional splendour of the occasion.
The Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Renu Gahlawat conveyed their appreciation for making this celebration a memorable tribute to the beautiful bond between generations.

“Together we run with purpose, together we shine with hope.” ✨
S.A. Jain Senior Model School, Ambala City, participated enthusiastically in the 4.5-km Namo Marathon Run for Unity, organised by the District Administration, Ambala, under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. Around 150 students, 7 teachers and NSS volunteers joined the run, promoting fitness, unity and discipline.

The day concluded with 🪔 ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’, with 100 diyas symbolising hope, positivity, blessings and goodwill.

Today, our Kindergarten students celebrated Samvatsari Parva, an important festival of Jainism, with great enthusiasm and devotion. 🌸
The children chanted Jain religious mantras and dressed up as various characters from Jain history, including King Siddhartha and King Shrenik.
