Department of Law, MMDU, Mullana

The Department of Law, MM(DU), Mullana, in collaboration of NSS-MM(DU), Mullana, has organized a Debate Competition on the topic of "Cleanliness Drive in India, ls just a Photo Shoot Opportunity?" under SAWACHHTA PAKHWADA 2023.
The convener for the event was Ms. Suman Khanna and Faculty Coordinator was Ms. Preety Gupta.The debate was an overall success under the guidance of Dean and Head, Department of Law, Brijendra Singh Yadav.
The following Students won the following Prizes:
1.Mr. Karanbir B.Pharm. Ist- for for Best Debator(In favour of the motion)
2.Ms. Riya BALLB- 3rd Best Debator (Against the Motion)
3. Mr. Harshul Sharma BALLB- 1st for (Best Researcher)

An ALUMNI LECTURE ON “MOTIVATIONAL SUCCESS JOURNEY” is conducted by the Department of Law, Maharishi Markandeshwar (deemed to be University), Mullana-Ambala, Haryana, on 6th September, 2023, for Ms. Kashish Aggarwal, batch 2017-22, BALLB, who recently cleared the U.P Judicial Services Exam 2023 and is selected as a Civil Judge(Junior Division). It all started with lighting of lamp which was followed by formal welcome address by Prof.(Dr.) B.S. Yadav, then on bouquet of flowers were presented to our guests. Ms. Kashish Aggarwal shared her tips and tricks of cracking judiciary exams with the final year students of Department of Law. The parents of guest speaker also shared the story of dedicated hardwork showcased by their daughter. A token of remembrance was given to Ms. Kashish Aggarwal by the Head and Dean of Department of Law, Prof.(Dr.) B.S. Yadav. All the professors and faculty members especially Dr. Shipra Gupta, Dr. Gayatri Sharma, Dr. Reetika Bansal, Dr. Bindu Jindal, Ms. Randeep Kaur & Ms. Kunjana Mittal, gave her a lots of blessings.

Krishan Janamashtmi and Teachers Day, celebrated by the students of Department of Law, MM(DU), Mullana on 5th September, 2023.

The "International Business- New Paradigms" book launch event was a remarkable evening on 29th Aug. 2023, in the Department of Law, MM (DU), Mullana, that brought together authors and enthusiasts. Attendees enjoyed insightful discussions, excerpts from the book, and a sense of camaraderie among like-minded individuals. The event successfully celebrated the collaborative efforts of the Prof.(Dr.) Ram Singh, Prof.(Dr.) Brijendra Singh Yadav, Dr. Rohit Bansal and Mr. Vyomkesh Bhatt and ignited engaging conversations about the world of international business.

The Department of Law, MM(DU), Mullana organized an "Adolescents Awareness Programme on Health and Legal Issues" for the school students in collaboration with MDD India and CHILDLINE Ambala at Jai Public School, Adhoi (Barara). The students presented a PPT on general awareness of legal and health related issues. In the PPT various topics were covered such as puberty, menstrual hygiene, sanitation, good touch & bad touch, drug abuse, fundamental rights, healthy lifestyle, child helpline and women empowerment. The students namely Utsav, Himanshi, Pragya, Tanya, Aastha, and Aman discussed the issues one by one and interacted with the school students. The school students from 8th, 9th, 10th and 12th classes attended the programme. Faculty Member Dr. Poonam Lamba concluded the PPT with discussion on Fundamental Duties and making the school students aware about the functioning of Legal Aid Clinic in Department of Law, MM(DU), and thanked the school principal Dr Neelam S. Jain for assisting to organize the event.
Overall, the program was a grand success under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Yadav. Around 110 beneficiaries get benefit from the programme.

The Department of Law, MM(DU) organized the Partition Horrors Remembraance Day 2023 on 14th August 2023 to envisaged and bring the light on agony, suffering and pain of millions of people who were the sufferers of partition. It all started with the ribbon cutting ceremony done by the guest Guest Of Honor, Sarpanch of Bhudiun, Sh. Jagtar Singh. The introduction of the event was given by the anchor which was followed by the formal welcome address given by Dean and Head of Department of Law Prof. (Dr.) B.S. Yadav.

The Department of Law, MM(DU), Mullana organized Independence Day Celebration, on 14th August 2023 to keep the spirit of patriotism alive in which there was a Quiz Competition and Poster-Making Competition. The programme started with the lightning of lamp which was followed by the introduction of the event by prof.(dr) bindu Jindal. The formal welcome address was given by Dean and Head of Department of law prof. (Dr) BS yadav. The students were also shown the movie "pinjar" which was based on the problems faced during the Partition of India. Theb the quiz competition and Poster making competition started. After sharing his words of wisdom, prof. (Dr) BS yadav, Dean and head of Department of Law announced the result of quiz competition and poster making competition.

The Student Moot Court Society, Department of Law, MM(DU) organized One Day Program On “Moot Court Workshop: Navigating The Essentials”, on 11th Aug., 2023. The guest speaker of the day was Ms. Kaushiki Jindal, who is a student of HPNLU, Shimla pursuing BBA. LLB (hons.) and is currently in 4th year. She addressed the students of 1st year about the Mooting Court competition and mooting skills. She acknowledged the students about the Legal Research methods and ethics of Moot Court Competitions. Overall the lecture was a grand success which imparted a lot of valuable information for the students and will definitely help in their future. The programme was successfully completed under the guidance and leadership of Prof.(Dr.) B.S. Yadav and Prof. (Dr.) Bindu Jindal.

The Department of Law , MM(DU) has organized One Day Workshop On “Filing ITR: A Case of a Salaried Employee” on 7th Aug., 2023. The guest speaker of the day was Mr. Rohit Gupta, Chartered Accountant, Ambala City, with a rich experience of 17.5 years in Finance Administration, Auditing and Taxation, Sales Accounting and many more, addressed the students of BBA, B.Com 9th Semester about the taxation procedures and ITR filing structure. The programme was successfully completed under the guidance and leadership of Prof.(Dr.) B.S. Yadav and coordinated by Ms. Preety Gupta and Mr. Saurav Bhola, Assistant Professor (s), Department of Law, MM(DU).
