The BSC ( Fashion and textile designing) Department recently collaborated with Fevicryl to host an intensive, three-day art workshop from September 17th to 19th, focusing on the intersection of traditional art and modern fashion. 🖌️We were honoured to have renowned instructor Mrs. Asha Verma lead the sessions, seamlessly supported by co-instructors Mrs. Sonia, Miss Shandeep, and Mrs. Parveen. Together, they provided our students with invaluable industry insights and hands-on guidance. 👩‍🎨🌟

Proud moment for M.D.S.D. College, Ambala City! Our talented Red Ribbon Club students delivered an outstanding performance in the District-Level Red Run-5 KM Competition held on September 18, 2026, at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Ambala City.

M.D.S.D. College Red Ribbon Club Students Shine in “Red Run-5”

On September 18, 2026, a district-level Red Run 5 KM Competition was organized at the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Ambala City, by the District AIDS Control Society, Ambala, under the Youth Festival for Red Ribbon Club colleges. The event was organized to create awareness among youth against drug abuse, illicit trafficking, and related social issues. Students of the Red Ribbon Club of M.D.S.D. College, Ambala City, performed exceptionally well in the competition and brought laurels to the college. In the Men’s Category, Harvinder, a student of B.A. First Year, secured First Position and received a cash prize of ₹2,500. Ritesh, a student of B.A. Second Year, secured Second Position and received ₹1,500. Amit, a student of B.A. First Year, secured Third Position and received a cash prize of ₹1,000. A consolation prize of ₹500 was awarded to Gagan, a student of B.A. First Year. In the Women’s Category, Anjali, a student of B.A. First Year, secured Third Position and received a cash prize of ₹1,000, bringing pride to the college through her commendable performance. Dr. Neelam, Coordinator of the Red Ribbon Club, congratulated all the winning students and motivated them to continue working hard and participating enthusiastically in such activities in the future.

Dr. Pooja Arora, Principal, M.D.S.D. College, congratulated Red Ribbon Club Coordinator Dr. Neelam and Dr. Jaspreet Kaur, Head of the Department of Physical Education, for encouraging and motivating the students. 🎨 Three-Day Fevicryl Art Workshop Held Successfully 🖌️✨
A three-day Art Workshop, organized by Fevicryl, was held on 17th, 18th and 19th September. The workshop was conducted by renowned instructor Mrs. Asha Verma, in the presence of Mrs. Sonia, Ms. Shandeep and Mrs. Parveen. The workshop primarily focused on Fabric Painting, Jeans Painting and Tote Bag Painting. The sessions were highly interactive, engaging and informative. Participants learned various techniques of using fabric colours, different brush strokes, colour combinations and creative design development. The workshop provided participants with an opportunity to explore their artistic abilities and develop practical skills in fabric decoration. It also enhanced their creativity and encouraged them to transform simple fabrics and accessories into attractive works of art.

Speaking on the occasion, the organizers said, “The workshop aimed to provide participants with practical knowledge and a creative platform to explore new ideas and techniques in fabric art.”

The participants actively participated throughout the three-day workshop and expressed their enthusiasm for learning new artistic techniques. The workshop concluded on a positive note, inspiring the attendees to further develop their creativity and create their own artistic masterpieces.

The NSS, NCC and Department of Physical Education, M.D.S.D. College, Ambala City, participated enthusiastically in the Namo Marathon, under the chairpersonship of Dr. Pooja Arora, Principal. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from a large number of students and staff members, promoting the message of fitness, healthy lifestyle, discipline and social responsibility. 🎭✨ Talent Search Programme | M.D.S.D. College ✨🎨

The Cultural Department of M.D.S.D. College, Ambala City, organized a Talent Search Programme with the objective of providing students with a platform to showcase their talents. The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Pooja Arora, Principal, M.D.S.D. College. Addressing the students Principal Dr. Pooja Arora Ma’am said that such programmes play an important role in nurturing students’ talents and promoting their overall personality development. She encouraged students to actively participate in creative and co-curricular activities alongside their academics.
The programme was coordinated by Mrs. Reenu Sharma. The judging panel comprised Mrs. Nishu Bansal, Dr. Ujjwal and Dr. Neelam. Dr. Pooja Arora congratulated the entire Cultural Department team for the successful organization of the programme.

🇮🇳 हिंदी दिवस समारोह एवं राज्य स्तरीय समाचार वाचन कार्यशाला 🇮🇳

एम.डी.एस.डी. कॉलेज, अंबाला शहर में हिंदी विभाग एवं रेड रिबन क्लब द्वारा हरियाणा साहित्य एवं संस्कृति अकादमी, पंचकूला के सहयोग से हिंदी दिवस के अवसर पर राज्य स्तरीय समाचार वाचन कार्यशाला एवं प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया।

कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कॉलेज प्राचार्या डॉ. पूजा अरोड़ा ने की। उन्होंने कहा कि हिंदी केवल हमारी भाषा नहीं, बल्कि हमारी संस्कृति, परंपरा और भावनाओं से जुड़ी हुई है। उन्होंने विद्यार्थियों को हिंदी के प्रति सम्मान एवं प्रेम बनाए रखने तथा इसके अधिकाधिक प्रयोग के लिए प्रेरित किया।

कार्यक्रम में विशिष्ट अतिथि सुश्री शैली तनेजा ने विद्यार्थियों के साथ अपने जीवन के अनुभव साझा करते हुए उन्हें मेहनत, आत्मविश्वास एवं निरंतर प्रयास के लिए प्रेरित किया। मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. पवन तोमर आर्य, परियोजना निदेशक, सूचना, जनसंपर्क एवं भाषा विभाग, हरियाणा ने हिंदी की महत्ता एवं राष्ट्र निर्माण में इसकी भूमिका पर प्रकाश डाला।
