Bagmo developed a RFID based blood bank software system which will be monitoring the storage conditions of blood bags while it is transported and stored. Currently, blood bags taken out from a blood bank can not be returned since there is no authenticated end to end data regarding the storage condition. Using Bagmo solution we will be able to provide data regarding vein to vein that is from donor
to patient. Each blood product (blood bag) comes with a unique radiofrequency identity (RFID) and every storage or transport unit has an RFID scanner and efficient, smart temperature sensors. The Bagmo blood bag monitoring solution monitors the blood bag from donor to patient to ensure efficient supply of blood in the blood bank and its associated blood storage centres. When a blood bag is transferred to a storage unit from the blood bank, its entry is noted by the RFID scanner fitted to that particular storage unit. This, in turn, is connected via the internet to a blood bank software which now starts recording the complete traceability. Mother blood banks or blood centre can trace each blood bag then decide the reliability of each unit based on this information
