Department of Education celebrated the promotion of Dr. Saroj, Dr. Patanjali , Dr. Ruchi, Dr. Anamika and Dr. Devi Prasad on May 29th with the former and present faculty members along with their families.

The Department of Education, University of Allahabad successfully organized a “Mind Makeover Workshop through NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and Ho'oponopono Emotional Healing Technique” for UG, PG students and Research Scholars under the esteemed guidance of Prof. Dhananjai Yadav Sir, Head of the Department. The workshop was coordinated by Prof. Saroj Yadav Ma’am and Dr. Devi Prasad Singh Sir.

The session was facilitated by Ms. Sneha Singh, Certified Ho'oponopono Healer and Life Coach. The workshop commenced with an insightful theoretical discussion highlighting the concepts, significance, and benefits of NLP and Ho'oponopono Emotional Healing techniques in personal growth, emotional well-being, and positive mindset development.

The interactive session further included various therapeutic activities and practical exercises where not only students and research scholars but also educators actively participated with great enthusiasm. The activities created a positive and engaging environment, encouraging self-reflection, emotional healing, and personal transformation.

Participants enthusiastically shared their experiences and feedback at the end of the workshop, appreciating the effectiveness and relevance of the activities conducted during the session.

The program concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Research Scholar Ms. Akanksha Tripathi.

Overall, the workshop proved to be highly fruitful, inspiring, and enriching for all participants, leaving them with valuable insights for emotional wellness and self-development.

The Research Circle of the Department of Education organised an online lecture of Dr. K. Thiyagu. The session focused on the importance of academic databases such as Scopus, Web of Science,Google Scholar,
PubMed; reference management using Mendeley, and the role of research metrics like h-index, i10-index, Citation count,Impact Factor, CiteScore, SNIP and SJR in evaluating scholarly work. The lecture was highly informative and beneficial for students, researchers, and academicians involved in research activities. The Department of Education organised an educational visit to the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Prayagraj on 18 April 2026 for M.A. Education II Semester students as part of their field work practical.
The visit was coordinated by Dr. Sangeeta Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Education, University of Allahabad. During the programme, Dr. Veerbhadra Singh and Dr. Rajesh Pandey, faculty members of DIET, conducted an insightful orientation session. They elaborated on the history of DIETs, their functioning, organizational structure, as well as the objectives and roles of various departments of the DIET, Prayagraj.
The session was highly interactive, with students actively engaging in meaningful discussions and gaining practical insights into institutional functioning. Dr. Sangeeta Singh highlighted the importance of such academic exposures in helping students understand the real-world functioning of educational organizations. She also expressed her sincere gratitude to DIET for providing this valuable opportunity and for organizing the visit in a well-planned manner.
Dr. Rajendra Pratap Singh, Principal of DIET, emphasized the crucial role of DIETs in strengthening the educational system and appreciated the initiative taken to acquaint students with the practical aspects of institutional functioning.
The visit concluded with a walk-through of the institute, where students observed the infrastructure and various facilities, further enriching their learning experience.

Department of Education organized the third Inter-University Quiz Competition EDUQUIZ 2026, on 17 April 2026 coordinated by Dr. Ruchi Dubey and Dr. Manish Kumar Gautam.
Total six teams participted in the quiz. The participating teams included Amrita Goswami, Nikita, Jyoti Vishwakarma and Irfan Ansari from the University of Allahabad; Khushi Pandey and Priyanshi Srivastav from S.S. Khanna Girls Degree College; Anchal Mishra, Gulam Saklain from Nehru Gram Bharti University; and Pratibha Pandey, Avinash Dev Pandey, Anand Mishra and Neeshu Patel from CMP Degree College.
Dr. Harish Kumar Singh of S.S. Khanna College, Prayagraj served as the official observer and ensured complete transparency and impartiality throughout the competition.
After intense intellectual contest, the University of Allahabad team of Amrita Goswami and Nikita clinched the first position. The second position was secured by Jyoti Vishwakarma and Irfan Ansari, also from the University of Allahabad, while the third position went to Anchal Mishra and Gulama Saklain from Nehru Gram Bharti University.
Prof. Dhananjay Yadav, Head, Department of Education, underlined the relevance of such quiz competitions in the intellectual development of students and described them as an effective medium that promotes critical thinking, cooperation and excellence.
The event was coordinated by Dr. Ruchi Dubey (Organising Secretary), while the programme was anchored by Ms. Sanya Chauhan. Dr. Manish Kumar Gautam delivered the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all participants, organisers and guests. Scoring and evaluation were efficiently handled by Dr. Sheelu Kachhap. The presence of Dr. Patanjali, Dr. Saroj, Dr. Vivek, Dr. Kavita and active participation of students and research scholars added energy and made the programme highly impactful.

The Vasudha Eco-Club, Department of Education, University of Allahabad, successfully organised a series of engaging competitions, including a poster-making competition on “War and Environment,” toy-making from waste materials, a poetry competition on “Dharati aur Hum,” and a video-making competition on environmental issues.
The result declaration and certificate distribution ceremony was held on 10 April 2026 in the Seminar Hall of the Department. The event was convened by Dr. Sangeeta Singh, Coordinator of the Vasudha Eco-Club.
On this occasion, Prof. Dhananjai Yadav, Head of the Department of Education, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of students and encouraged them to continue engaging in such creative and meaningful activities. He highlighted the importance of such platforms in nurturing talent and promoting peer learning.
The exhibition of student entries was widely appreciated by all present, reflecting creativity, awareness, and commitment towards environmental concerns.
