As a tribute to independent India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Children’s Day is being celebrated in India since 1959. Earlier, it was celebrated on 20th November but after Nehru’s death, it was decided that his birthday would be celebrated as Children’s Day. That is because Pandit Nehru was very fond of kids, and the affection was mutual as they called him ‘Chacha Nehru’.
Children are the future. Nurture them right, so that they grow up to be able leaders and lead the world towards light. Happy Children’s Day.

Diwali or Deepavali is the Indian festival of lights, usually lasting five days and celebrated during the Hindu Lunisolar month Kartika (between mid-October and mid-November). Diwali symbolizes the spiritual "victory of light over darkness, good over evil, and knowledge over ignorance". The festival is widely associated with Lakshmi, Sita and Rama, Vishnu, Krishna, Yama, Yami, Durga, Kali, Hanuman, Ganesha, Kubera, Dhanvantari, or Vishvakarma.
