Congratulations to Mr Rohit Kushwaha, B.Sc. (Hons) Agriculture Final Year student of Naini Agricultural Institute (SHUATS), for securing a ₹15 lakh startup seed grant under the MSME Idea Hackathon 5.0! 🎉

🚀 His innovation “Laser Razor” introduces a portable, laser-based crop protection system that uses controlled, multi-wavelength beams to precisely target weeds and pests. With smart controls, safety mechanisms, and advanced thermal management, it enables efficient, localized, and chemical-free crop protection in the field.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Rohit Kushwaha and Aashwi Singh, B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Final Year students of NAI, for securing a ₹5 lakh startup seed grant (under Top 5 Teams) at the Carbon Zero Challenge (CZC) 5.0, hosted by IIT Madras early this year (January 2026).

Participating as Team Agriveer, their registered startup Banavrit Pvt. Ltd. stood out with the project “Banana Trichoderma Nexus – A Zero-Waste Model.” The innovation adopts a Waste-to-Wealth approach by utilizing the banana plant “from top to toe” after harvesting—integrating Trichoderma farming, floating vegetable cultivation using banana pseudostem, banana leaf–based seed treatment, and other sustainable solutions.
