Heartiest congratulation to Prof. Vishnu Prabhakar Srivastava on becoming the examination controller of University of Allahabad. He is a distinguished Professor in the Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad. He completed his M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry from D.D.U. Gorakhpur University and earned his D.Phil. from the University of Allahabad. A GATE and JRF qualified scientist, he also served as a DST INSPIRE Faculty. His research focuses on sustainable organic synthesis, biomass conversion, biorefinery, and industrial waste utilization. He has been granted two patents, filed three patent applications, and published 46 research articles along with 12 conference proceedings. He is a recipient of the Noel Deerr Gold Medal (2018 & 2021), the Young Scientist Award (2017), and the Bhartiya Sugar Outstanding R&D Performance Award (2017). In recognition of his outstanding academic, research, and administrative contributions, he is currently serving as the Examination Controller, University of Allahabad.

Every great institution is built upon the vision of extraordinary individuals. Among them, Prof. Nil Ratan Dhar stands as one of the most distinguished architects of the Department of Chemistry, University of Allahabad.

Serving as the first Head of the Department (1922–1938) and again from 1946–1953, Prof. Dhar laid the scientific and academic foundations that transformed the department into one of India's leading centres for chemical education and research.

Today, we bid farewell to Ramendra Kumar Singh Sir as he embarks on a new chapter after years of dedicated service, mentorship, and academic excellence.

His wisdom, guidance, and unwavering commitment to education have inspired countless students and colleagues alike. Beyond being an exceptional teacher and researcher, he has been a mentor, a motivator, and a pillar of our department.
