CBSE Independence Day Celebrations–2026

Under the inspiring leadership of Principal Mrs Dolly Banerjee, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj, successfully organised the Essay Writing Competition and Painting Competition for students of Classes IX to XII as part of the CBSE Independence Day Celebrations–2026, in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Defence, in collaboration with MyGov and MyBharat.

The Essay Writing Competition was conducted on the theme “Role of AI in Building a Viksit Bharat by 2047 (2047 तक विकसित भारत के निर्माण में ए.आई. की भूमिका)”, encouraging students to explore the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence in shaping a progressive, innovative and self-reliant India. Simultaneously, the Painting Competition on the theme “India 1947 vs India 2047” inspired participants to creatively portray India's remarkable journey from Independence to the vision of a developed nation by 2047.

The competitions witnessed an overwhelming response, with approximately 600 students from Classes IX to XII participating enthusiastically. Through thoughtful essays and imaginative artworks, students demonstrated creativity, critical thinking, patriotic values and a futuristic outlook aligned with the national vision of "Viksit Bharat @2047".

The initiative provided a meaningful platform for learners to reflect upon India's achievements, technological advancements and their own role as responsible citizens in nation-building. The event concluded successfully, reinforcing the values of innovation, national pride and active participation envisioned under the CBSE Independence Day Celebrations–2026.

Under the guidance of Principal Mrs Dolly Banerjee, who believes that emotional well-being and open communication are vital to holistic education, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj, organised an interactive group guidance session titled “Talk, Trust and Transform” in the School Auditorium on 12 July 2026. Facilitated by school counsellors Ms Sarika Bose and Ms Heena Kaushar, the session was attended by around 380 students of Classes IX to XII along with their teachers. Students were encouraged to express themselves freely, build trusting relationships, adopt positive coping strategies, and make responsible decisions.

**Bagless Day Observed for Classes VI–VIII in Accordance with CBSE Guidelines**

In accordance with the **CBSE Bagless Day** initiative, **Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj**, under the leadership of its Principal, **Mrs. Dolly Banerjee**, organised a range of experiential learning activities for the students of **Classes VI to VIII** on **4 July 2026**. The programme was efficiently planned and coordinated by **Mrs. Smita Samaddar, Coordinator (Middle Section)**, whose guidance ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the day's activities.

The day commenced with a refreshing **Yoga** session for all students. **Class VI**, under the guidance of their class teacher, participated in an engaging **Vedic Mathematics** session, where students explored quick calculation techniques that enhanced their mental arithmetic and logical reasoning skills. **Class VII**, under the guidance of their class teacher, enthusiastically took part in the **Best Out of Waste** activity organised by the **Eco Club**, transforming discarded materials into creative and useful craft items, thereby promoting innovation, sustainability, and environmental awareness.

**Class VIII**, under the guidance of their class teacher, participated in the **Colour-Coordinated Regional Cuisine** activity, presenting a vibrant display of regional Indian dishes arranged according to different colour themes. Students confidently shared information about the origin, ingredients, nutritional value, and cultural significance of the dishes, celebrating India's rich culinary heritage while fostering creativity, teamwork, and healthy eating habits.

The Bagless Day proved to be an enriching and enjoyable learning experience, reflecting the vision of **CBSE** and **NEP 2020** by promoting experiential learning and the holistic development of confident, creative, and responsible learners.

*Breaking the Stigma Around Counseling: Breaking Myths, Building Confidence*

A Guidance and Counseling Session on the theme "Breaking the Stigma Around Counseling" was conducted on 4th July 2026 during the Zero Period (12:50 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.) in the School's Meeting Room for the students of Class IX (Sections A, B & C). The session was held under the guidance of our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Dolly Banerjee, and was facilitated by the School Counselors, Ms. Sarika Bose and Ms. Heena Kaushar, in the presence of the Class Teachers, Ms. Smita Das, Ms. Nimisha Chatterjee, and Mr. Peeyush Kumar Singh. A total of 92 students participated in this psycho-educational awareness programme.
The session aimed to raise awareness about counseling, dispel common myths and misconceptions, reduce the stigma associated with seeking professional help, and encourage students to view counseling as a positive step towards emotional well-being and personal growth. Through an interactive discussion, students explored the meaning and importance of counseling and learned that it is a confidential, empathetic, and evidence-based process that supports them in dealing with academic stress, career concerns, family issues, emotional challenges, and personal difficulties. The counselors also clarified that counseling is based on trust, communication, and professional guidance, not mind reading or hypnosis.
The programme was further enriched by the gracious presence of our respected Principal, Mrs. Dolly Banerjee, and Senior Coordinator, Ms. Rupa Mitra, who attended the session for a brief period. The session concluded with the inspiring message that seeking help is a sign of courage, wisdom, and strength rather than weakness. Students left with a clearer understanding of the role of school counselors and the confidence to seek guidance whenever needed.

*Empowering Future Learners : Counselling Session on Advanced Mathematics and Advanced Science*

A comprehensive counselling session on Advanced Mathematics and Advanced Science was organised for the students of Class IX at Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj, on 03 July 2026, under the visionary leadership of our esteemed Principal, Mrs. Dolly Banerjee. The programme was conducted in accordance with the CBSE's recent introduction of advanced-level courses in Mathematics and Science.

The session was led by Mr. Sushant Agrawal (TGT Mathematics and Exam Incharge), Ms. Heena Kaushar (Counsellor), and Ms. Sarika Bose (Counsellor). Students were provided with valuable insights into the advanced curriculum, assessment pattern, learning outcomes, and the key differences between the standard and advanced levels. They were also guided to make informed academic choices based on their aptitude, interests, learning abilities, and future career aspirations.

The interactive session addressed students' queries and encouraged them to embrace academic challenges with confidence and clarity. It concluded on a highly motivating note, reaffirming the school's motto, "Learning and Service."
