SMC Ghoorpur Students Shine at Inter-School Chess Tournament

Students of SMC Ghoorpur, Prayagraj brought pride to their school by delivering an outstanding performance in the inter-school chess tournament held at Green Field Academy. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from seven different schools, making the competition highly challenging and exciting.
In the boys’ category, Vidhan Singh Patel showcased exceptional strategic skills and secured first position. In the girls’ category, Tanu Patel also displayed remarkable talent and claimed first place, adding another achievement to the school’s success.
The remarkable victory of both students created an atmosphere of joy and celebration in the school. On this proud occasion, Principal Mr. Ashish Ranjan congratulated the winners, blessed them, and wished them a bright and successful future. He also appreciated their hard work and emphasized the importance of such competitions in encouraging young minds to excel.

Report on Heritage Day Celebration

The school celebrated Heritage Day with great enthusiasm and active participation from both students and teachers. A special assembly was organized to highlight the importance of preserving and respecting our rich cultural heritage.

The assembly commenced with a prayer, followed by an insightful speech that emphasized the value of traditions, historical monuments, and cultural diversity. Students shared inspiring thoughts and messages, encouraging everyone to protect and promote our heritage. An oath-taking ceremony was also conducted, where all students pledged to safeguard our cultural and historical legacy.

To make the celebration more engaging, various activities were organized. A painting competition allowed students to creatively depict historical monuments, traditional art forms, and cultural symbols. Their artwork beautifully reflected both creativity and awareness of heritage conservation.

An essay writing activity was also conducted, providing students with an opportunity to express their views on the importance of preserving heritage. The essays highlighted the need to protect our traditions, values, and historical sites for future generations.

Report on Jal Pakwada Special Assembly
A special assembly on the occasion of Jal Pakwada was conducted in the school to raise awareness about the importance of water conservation. The assembly began with the chanting of the Gayatri Mantra, creating a serene and positive atmosphere.
This was followed by the morning prayer. Students actively participated in the assembly. An oath was taken by all, emphasizing the need to conserve water and use it wisely.
A speech highlighting the importance and wise use of water was delivered, educating students about the value of this precious resource. A meaningful song related to water conservation was also presented by the students.
The assembly concluded with the National Anthem. The programme was informative and inspired everyone to take responsibility for saving water.
