🎁 A MEMORABLE GIFT 🎁
On 7 July 2025, one of our alumni, Mrs Nisha Nansi P., a former MA student, gifted the department a portrait of our founder Dr Sam Higginbottom (1874-1958).
Inscribed on it was the deeply affectionate and inspirational quote by Dr Sam, which reads: "The thought of the need of the India that I loved, to which God had called me, gave me strength beyond my own."
It now proudly adorns the chamber of the Head of the Department.
Thank you, Nisha Nansi Vijin, for such a thoughtful gift.
