विश्व पर्यावरण दिवस पर, पर्यावरणविद प्रो. बी.एस. नीहार एवं डॉ चंद्रकांता शर्मा (मीरा शर्मा) द्वारा स्थापित नीहार मीरा नेशनल सी से स्कूल (जो पहले मीरा मोंटेसरी स्कूल, मेरीस रोड ,अलीगढ़ के नाम से था),क्यामपुर,अलीगढ़ में विद्यालय के फाउंडर्स प्रो बी. एस. नीहार एवं डॉ चंद्रकांता शर्मा द्वारा पृथ्वी को प्रदूषण से बचाने की जो मुहिम चलाई गई थी,और जो पहले बंजर भूमि थी , उसमें मिट्टी तक बदलवाकर क्यामपुर स्थित नीहार मीरा नेशनल सी से स्कूल के प्रागंण को हरा भरा बनाया ....
उसी मुहिम को आगे बढ़ाते हुए,हर वर्ष की भांति... विद्यालय में वृक्षारोपण का आयोजन हर्षोल्लास पूर्वक किया गया।
इस अवसर पर विद्यालय के वर्तमान प्रबंधक इंजीनियर आकाश नीहार एवं प्रधानाचार्य कल्पलता चंद्रहास ने विशेष रूप से तीर्थ नगरी ऋषिकेश से लाये गए पवित्र रुद्राक्ष के पौधे का रोपण किया।
इस अवसर पर उप प्रधानाचार्य श्रीमती रीता शर्मा, डॉ गार्गी शर्मा, श्रीमती मंजू दीक्षित,वंशिका नीहार,श्री सौरभ सक्सेना, सतीशचंद्र,जय प्रकाश, मनेंद्र सिंह आदि उपस्थित थे ।सभी ने पवित्र रुद्राक्ष के पौधारोपण पर हर्ष व्यक्त किया।
