History
Although the founder of this institution Sir Syed Ahmad Khan has initiated a Drama Troupe of MAO College in 1886, but the University Drama Club (UDC) was permanently established in the year 1966 in the Kennedy House. Earlier the interested students and different cultural societies of halls of residence, had seldom staged different production in Strachey Hall and Maris Hall. But after the

SHAMIR ABADAN sir, Theatre enthusiast from college days . During his days at AMU, he
was Chief Organizer Amu Drama club(1998-99) and represented AMU at 2 national events.
Shamir sir has been active in Delhi Theatre circuit from 2011.
Some of his notable Theatre lead performcaes are:
*Dara Shikoh in play Dara Shikoh, directed by Mr. M.S.Sathyu.
*Imroz in play Amrita, directed by Mr. M.S.Sathyu.
*Sahir Ludhianvi in play Wo Afsaana, by Team Raabta.
*Faiz Ahmed Faiz in play Kuch Ishq Kiya Kuch Kaam, directed by Mr. K.K.Kohli.
He is based out of Delhi and runs his own Theatre group, Team Raabta.

An Alumnus of Aligarh Muslim University, Mr Deepak Sharma started his career by working in different organisations and roles for 31 years. He then served as a volunteer for the NGO Udayan Care and later played the role of a trustee for the same.
Mr Sharma also wrote a book "WINGS TO FLY" sharing all his 13 years of experience and learning which was released on 29 July 2022.
