The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c".. Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f".. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent "e" in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away.

By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing "th" with "z" and "w" with "v".

2012 in the Aligarh Muslim
University and its maintained
institutions including University
schools and AMU Centres at
Malappuram and Murshidabad
shall be observed from June 1,
2012 to July 31, 2012, both
days inclusive.
As recommended by the Deans of
the Faculty of Medicine and Unani
Medicine, the summer vacation in
the Faculties of Medicine and
Unani Medicine shall be observed
for teaching staff from May 17 to
June 23, 2012 and June 24 to July
31, 2012 (in two halves of 38
days each).
For MBBS students Final Prof. Part
II, Batch 2008, the summer
vacation will commence from June
01-20, 2012 while for MBBS Final
Prof. Part I, Batch 2009 and MBBS
Prof. II, Batch 2010, it would be
from June 11-30, 2012 and for
MBBS Prof. I, Batch 2011 it would
be from July 12-31, 2012.
For BDS Final, Batch 2008, summer
vacation has been scheduled from
June 01-20, 2012 whereas for
BDS III Year, Batch 2009, BDS II
Year Batch 2010 and BDS I Year
Batch 2011, it would be from July
12-31, 2012.
Similarly, the students of BUMS I
Prof. Batch 2011, II Prof. Batch
2010 and III Prof. Batch 2008 may
enjoy the summer vacation from
June 11-30, 2012.
