Gaurav Vaishnav Clears AFCAT and EKT for Air Force

Gaurav Vaishnav, student of Mangalayatan University's B.Tech. (ECE) has cracked India's prestigious Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) and Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) to serve the Nation as an Air Force Officer. His SSB interview is expected by Jan 2015.
Fourth Year B.Tech. student Gaurav is one of the multi talented student of Institute of Engineering and Technology in the University. He scored 89.2 % in high school and 90.67% in B.Tech. third Year. A resident of Officers Enclave, RAF, Aligarh, Gaurav credited this success to his father Shri B.K. Vaishnav-also serving the Nation through Central Reserve Police Force as second an Officer and his brother Mohit Vaishnav. He is an active member of different students clubs in the University and has won a number of prizes in cultural events. He is also shortlisted for Indian Army.
More than 2 lakh students attempted AFCAT this year to get entry as an elite Air Force Officer. Indian Air Force is conducting this exam twice a year for its Flying Branch, Ground Duty Branches and for Technical Branch. AFCAT consists of Current Affairs, Environment, History, Aptitude, Reasoning and English Language test.
Brig. (Dr.) Surjit Pabla, Vice-Chancellor congratulated Gaurav for his remarkable achievement. Col. (Dr.) N. Mantha, Director, IET says that the University is trying to facilitate students aspiring for a career in armed forces through regular coaching and guidance. Every facility has been provided for the smooth selection of the students.
