We are thrilled to share glimpses from Tech Combat 4.0, the Internal Hackathon conducted by DYPIEMR, Akurdi, Pune which took place on 12th September 2025, as a part of the Smart India Hackathon 2025.

More than 82 teams, including 490+ participants, in both Hardware and Software categories, participated in this exciting innovative event. The inauguration of the event has done at respective locations by our Principal Dr. A. V. Patil madam along with esteemed juries from various industries. The evaluation has done thoroughly by team of academicians and industry experts. The Top 50 teams has been shortlisted and nominated to SIH 2025.

The event reached its exciting conclusion with the expertized mentoring by our renowned industry experts. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all participants, juries and attendees for making Tech-Combat 4.0 a tremendous success.

🎉 Proud Moment for the Department of Chemical Engineering! 🎉

We are thrilled to announce that two teams of our Final Year Chemical Engineering students of DYPIEMR were selected for the Grand Finale of the prestigious National-Level IIChE-CHEMATHON 2025: Chemical Engineering Hardware Hackathon, held from 15th to 17th August 2025 at Dharmsinh Desai University, Gujarat, in association with Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE).

🌟 Out of all participating teams across India, one of our teams secured 🏆 Third Prize and received a cash award of ₹15,000!

👏 Both teams were mentored and guided by Dr. Utkarsh Maheshwari, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering.
This year’s hackathon challenged participants to innovate around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs) — and our students rose to the occasion with brilliance, creativity, and dedication.

We are happy to share that one student from Chemical Engineering Department - Ms Emy Clare Thomas (BE Chemical 2025-26) is selected for six month Internship at High Energy Materials Research Laboratory (HEMRL) from August 25 to January 26. HEMRL is one of the premier laboratories of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Government of India located in Pune Maharashtra.

We are delighted to announce the successful inauguration of a five-days Faculty Development Program (FDP) arranged by Mechanical Engineering department, focused on Autodesk Fusion 360 organized to enhance the technical knowledge and design skills of our esteemed faculty members.

The session began with a warm welcome and insightful words from our dignitaries, setting the tone for a transformative learning experience. This program aims to introduce participants to modern CAD tools used in the fields of product design and engineering.
Autodesk Fusion 360 is a powerful 3D modeling tool for product design, simulation, and manufacturing.
