World Animal Welfare Day is celebrated on the 4th of October every year. World Animal Welfare Day is celebrated to create awareness about the importance of improving the welfare standards of animals worldwide. World Animal Welfare Day was first started in 1931 at a convention of ecologists in Florence, Italy, to highlight the importance of endangered species. It is also known as "Animal Lovers Day."

World Heart Day, annual observance and celebration held on September 29 that is intended to increase public awareness of cardiovascular diseases, including their prevention and their global impact. In 1999 the World Heart Federation (WHF), in conjunction with the World Health Organization (WHO), announced the establishment of World Heart Day. The idea for this annual event was conceived by Antoni Bayés de Luna, president of WHF from 1997–99. World Heart Day was originally (until 2011) observed on the last Sunday in September, with the first celebration taking place on September 24, 2000.

Hindi Diwas is celebrated on the 14th of September, to commemorate the embrace of Hindi in Devanagari script as one of the official language of India. Hindi was embrace as one of the two official languages of the Republic of India by Constituent Assembly of India, thanks to the efforts of Beohar Rajendra Simha along with Hazari Prasad Dwivedi, Kaka Kalelkar, Maithili Sharan Gupt and Seth Govind Das. As such, on the 50th birthday of Beohar Rajendra Simha on the 14th of September 1949, the efforts came to fruition following the embrace of Hindi as an official language.

Women's Equality Day is celebrated on August 26 every year to honors the hard-fought victory of the women's suffrage movement. Women’s Equality Day has been designed to commemorate the 19th Amendment being adopted in the 1920s in the United States. In 1973, the US Congress passed a bill designating August 26 as “Women’s Equality Day,” to not only recognize the struggles of the past women had faced in order to secure their rights, but also for their ongoing efforts for full equality within society.
