To make our future citizens more aware and concerned about our green and prosperous Earth ,Lions DAV PS Akaltara had organised Drawing, painting and Slogan writing activity on occasions of Earth Day.Through this activity students shown their concern towards our mother earth. They also written many slogans to save earth and make it green and full of resources.

LIONS DAV PS AKALTARA had conducted the Zonal Mandatory Activity *SPILL YOUR HOOK UP CONFESSION* for all the classes from class I to class XII . Through this activity students confessed their previous mistakes by speaking or writing the same and also promised not to repeat the mistakes in future. All the class teachers imparted the value that confessing their mistakes ,removes the burdon from their heart and brain. It gives the chance to learn from one's mistakes and boosts us to do new begining.

Lions DAV Public School Akaltara has organised the Planetarium Show for the joyful learning about space,planets , other Celestial bodies and space activities.It was for the students of class LKG to class XII on the occasion of Earth Day i.e. 22/4/24
Maximum students watched the interesting show and acquired so much knowledge. Students found it thrilling , interesting and insightful.

Mahatma Hansraj Jayanti
On the occasion of Mahatma Hansraj Jayanti Lions DAV School has organised mass hawan.on this all the students of class Nursery to class XII had participated along with all the teachers and respected Principal sir.
After Hawan, respected principal Sir blessed all and motivated all to follow the path shown by Mahatma Hansraj.
Mrs.Aruna Sharma mam thrown the light in the life of Mahatma Hansraj and his great deeds for vaidic culture. Mass hawan came to an end by putting tilak to all and distribution of Prasad.

लायंस डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल-अकलतरा में शिक्षक दिवस संपन्न"
लायंस डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल -अकलतरा में सोमवार 5 सितंबर को शिक्षक दिवस समारोह आयोजित किया गया। जिसमें सभी कक्षा के विद्यार्थियों ने भाग लिया इस कार्यक्रम के अवसर पर विद्यालय द्वारा विभिन्न क्रियाकलाप एवं सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम आयोजन किया गया जो सराहनीय रहा।
इस कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि - लायन-राजेंद्र कुमार शर्मा जी विशिष्ट अतिथि लायन दीनदयाल अग्रवाल जी ,लायन- विनोद अग्रवाल जी एवं सभी लायन परिवार उपस्थित रहे।
कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ वैदिक प्रार्थना एवं डॉक्टर सर्वपल्ली राधाकृष्णन जी के छायाचित्र में दीप प्रज्वलित कर किया गया। तत्पश्चात विद्यार्थियों द्वारा सभी शिक्षकगणों का तिलक वंदन किया गया।
माननीय मुख्य अतिथि ने शालेय परिवार को संबोधित करते हुए कहा-"शिक्षकों के बिना यह मानव जीवन सार्थक नहीं है,तो हर किसी के जीवन में एक गुरु या शिक्षक का होना बेहद आवश्यक है,इसलिए हम सभी को सदा शिक्षकों का मान सम्मान करना चाहिए और उनकी बातों पर अमल करना चाहिए।"
विद्यालय के प्राचार्य-श्री सुनील श्रीवास्तव जी ने सभी विद्यार्थियों एवं शिक्षकगणों को शिक्षक दिवस की बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा-"गुरु बिना ज्ञान न उपजै, गुरु बिन मिलै न मोक्ष।गुरु बिना लिखै न सत्य कोई, गुरु बिन मिटै न दोष।" डॉक्टर राधाकृष्णन के जन्म दिवस के अवसर पर शिक्षक दिवस 5 सितंबर को मनाया जाता है। शिक्षक का बच्चों के भविष्य में महत्वपूर्ण योगदान होता है एक शिक्षक के बिना छात्र का जीवन अधूरा रहता है। जिंदगी में यदि हम थोड़े सफल होते हैं तो इसका श्रेय हमारे माता-पिता के बाद जिन्हें जाना चाहिए वह है हमारे शिक्षक, हम तो महज एक मिट्टी के हैं जबकि हमें किसी भी रूप में डालने का काम कुम्हार रूपी शिक्षक करते हैं।
कार्यक्रम के अंत में लायंस परिवार द्वारा सभी शिक्षकगणों को भेंट देकर सम्मानित किया गया तथा वैदिक शांति पाठ के साथ कार्यक्रम का समापन हुआ।

Health and Hygiene day was observed on 1st July 2017 in LIONS DAV PUBLIC SCHOOL AKALTARA. Health and Hygiene is also known as Doctor’s Day classes from VI to XII took part in it. Student showed their seal to learn more about health and hygiene. They asked various questions conserving health and hygiene. The expert Dr. Ramayan Singh and Dr. Shreya Diksh*t satisfied each one of them with better and innovative replies. Health education plays a vital role in the life of every individual especially in student’s life as it is rightly said health is wealth. Overall it was a fruitful session for everyone.

Green Day was celebrated on 4th July 2017 Many dignitaries were present on this occasion and among them are Lions Laxmikant Jain (Chairman), Lions Rajendra Kumar Sharma, Lions Kamal Kedia, Lions Jugal Likhmania, Lions Vinod Singhania and Lions Gagan Singhania The primary aim of it is to maintain eco balance and to be eco friendly nature. To mark the day more significantly each student sponsored a sapling Indeed the day was really greenary.

With great vigour and Enthusiasm International Yoga Day was celebrated on 21st June 2017. The Chief Guest of the day was Yoga Guru Kamendra Singh Chauhan. The significance of observing International Yoga Day is to promote unity, harmony, peace and global health. The enter School participate in it wholeheartedly.
