Folk Dance Competition
A vibrant Folk Dance Competition was held for Classes 1 to 5. The programme was graced by Sister Principal Sr. Jessy, Primary In-charge Sr. Beena, Vice Principal Sr. Anisha and Sr. Deepa.
Each class presented a different folk dance:
- Class I – Kalbelia Dance
- Class II – Gujarati Folk Dance
- Class III – Rajasthani Folk Dance
- Class IV – Kashmiri Folk Dance
- Class V – Haryanvi Folk Dance
Dressed in beautiful traditional costumes, the students brought the vibrant colours and cultural richness of different states to the stage. Their graceful movements, energetic steps and lively expressions beautifully captured the spirit of each folk dance. The rhythmic music and well-coordinated performances added to the festive atmosphere. The students also shared a few interesting lines about their respective dances, making the presentations more informative and engaging.
The programme concluded with an encouraging speech by Ma’am Yukta, followed by a motivating speech by Sister Principal Sr. Jessy, who appreciated the children’s efforts and shared helpful points for improvement.
The competition was a joyful celebration of India’s rich and diverse folk traditions.
