A Decade Across Borders, An Enduring Friendship
This May, 14 Mayoites and two teachers travelled through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland as part of the Mayo College–Schloss Gaienhofen Exchange Programme.
The visit marked the 10th anniversary of this special partnership, with Schloss Gaienhofen graciously hosting the Mayo delegation for 14 days. At a memorable celebration on Lake Constance, Mayo College Principal Mr. Saurav Sinha and the Principal of Schloss Gaienhofen hoisted a commemorative sail symbolising a decade of friendship and international understanding.
Addressing parents and guests, Mr. Saurav Sinha spoke of the importance of exchange programmes, noting that partnerships such as these help create the understanding, empathy, and global citizenship our world needs.

Our students didn’t just visit Greece. They performed in it.
From 7–18 May 2026, a delegation of 13 students accompanied by Ms Tanya Jain and Ms Deepa Chaudhury from the Department of English travelled to Athens as part of our 3-year collaboration with Mr. David Glass and the David Glass Ensemble — the only partnership of its kind in India.
From Philopappos Hill to the ancient theatre of Epidaurus, our boys enacted Greek myths across Athens with the Acropolis as their backdrop — co-creating immersive performances in the very landscapes that inspired these stories thousands of years ago.
What came back with them wasn’t just experience. It was confidence, voice, and transformation.

INTO THE VALLEY OF GODS
This May, 28 young Mayo College Junior School students journeyed into the heart of the Garhwal Himalayas on the legendary Har Ki Dun Trek — a breathtaking adventure through Sankri, Osla, Seematra, and the stunning Valley of Gods itself.
Battling demanding trails, mountain weather, icy rivers, and rugged terrain, the boys displayed exceptional resilience, discipline, teamwork, and spirit at every step. Surrounded by forests, alpine meadows, and snow-capped peaks, they discovered that the mountains teach lessons no classroom can.
What an unforgettable Himalayan chapter in the Mayo adventure tradition!

Into the wild, beyond comfort zones: the Mukta Top trail
Sixteen Mayo College adventurers of Grades 7 & 8, along with four es**rt teachers, accomplished the breathtaking Mukta Top trail — trekking through dense oak, bamboo, and rhododendron forests before emerging into vast alpine meadows beneath Himalayan skies, this May.
The offbeat route tested endurance, discipline, and teamwork, while the summit rewarded the team with awe-inspiring views of the Bandarpoonch and Kala Naag peaks. From shared campsites to mountain challenges, the boys returned stronger, more resilient, and deeply connected to nature — carrying back memories of adventure, courage, and brotherhood.

The Surya Top Adventure
From snow trails to roaring rapids — nineteen Mayo College bravehearts pushed beyond limits on an unforgettable expedition to Surya Top, Uttarakhand, this May.
Across alpine meadows, fresh snowfall, freezing campsites, and rugged Himalayan terrain, the boys learnt survival, resilience, teamwork, and leadership the hard way — under open skies and amidst the mighty Gangotri and Yamunotri ranges.
The adventure ended with thrilling river rafting on the Ganga at Rishikesh, but the memories, courage, and brotherhood forged in the mountains will last a lifetime.
