Keep nests and water bowls for birds.
At Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Group of Colleges, students took a thoughtful initiative to help birds survive the scorching summer heat and the harmful effects of environmental pollution. They installed bird nests on shady trees and placed water bowls along the college walls and beneath trees to provide relief to birds.
College Director Dr. Chaman Lal Sachdeva said that due to deforestation and noise pollution caused by vehicles, birds are losing their natural habitats and are gradually disappearing. Realizing the need to protect them, the college staff and students pledged to install and care for artificial nests in shaded areas, especially on their birthdays, as a noble act of kindness. This effort aims to bring back the beauty of birds and make every morning pleasant and cheerful once again.
On this occasion, Principal Raj Kumar Gupta, NCC In-charge Harmel Singh, along with Sukhjinder Singh and Kamalpreet Singh, made valuable contributions to this humanitarian initiative.
